This is absolutely beautiful. Awesome video, because it captures the essence of Judo and holds your attention with no talking etc. It's constant motion. I would watch this before a Jiu-jitsu tournament just to get in a relaxed but energized mood while watching constant flow of movement.
Beautiful techniques! My interest peaked seeing how Khabib, Islam and the Dagestani boys utilize judo into their game. Absolute monsters. Definitely want to train someday hopefully.
@@TheJudoWayofLife Ura Nage I've never been brave enough to try, so that, and Kata Guruma, Osoto Gari and Tani Otoshi I've only done a couple times; nowhere near as much as other throws I've been physically instructed in.
Oh man… really thinking about going for my black belt 😅. Judoed ‘till I was 18 (brown belt / stopped due to back hernia). 37 now, but actually prolly fitter and stronger than in my teen years 🤷 (crossfit/obstacle running, triathlons, bit of kickboxing and MMA)… My oldest (5yo) is getting into it and it’s super fun to watch, so the fire is being lit again 🔥. And his club is actually a super nice community and offers lessons for adults too 😮. Seeing you’re guys moves, all the names are just coming back and I wonder if I could still pull ‘em off 😬. And I’m actually now reading/seeing more about Judo. And Judo being super “legit” due to the sparring and “pressure testing”, which makes it evolve and adjusted to real action. My respect for it grew way more than when I was a teen 😬
Obviously I'm heavily biased, but I think you should go for it. If your lifestyle allows for it, then get back into training and go for that black belt...especially if your kid is learning the sport!!
@@TheJudoWayofLife yes! I’ve always tried to maintain an active/sporty lifestyle. But family life (3 little kids under ages 5yo) does make it harder to have set training days 😅. But what I usually do is keep a fire lit and turn it up whenever there is a little extra space. My oldest had his first Judo exam this weekend (got hit yellow slip 🤗) and I talked to his teacher about going for black belt. Training only once a week wasn’t going to cut it (need a dedicated extra Kata training day). But what I’ll do is go to the regular training evening once a week, reigniting the Judo flame 🔥. And when there is more space, see if I can get that extra training day in 🤗 It’ll also probably feel weird to wear my brown belt, but be a n00b basically 😂. But I’ll guess it’ll all come back to me 🤗
Can a teenager, not very strong and mascular, can use these throws? I think judo needs sheer strength. However, really enjoyed those techniques. Will try.
Yes, of course. Regular, focused practice will help increase strength. Timing and correct technique are more important than strength, develop these and the strength will come as a by-product.

Once you combine arts that contain only striking with judo, you become a true fighter.
