This was the last movie I saw with my girlfriend at the time, and it was a perfect metaphor for where we were: it was something pretty built on a rocky foundation and poor ideas which ended with eminent destruction.
When he says, "Wouldn't you rather be playing the game than watching this?", that is exactly what I thought when I watched this with my cousin. I feel like this movie just gives context for WHY you're trying to help the birds retrieve the eggs from the pigs in the game in the first place.
Yeah, I'm pretty sure the screenwriters were high on SOMETHING when they came up with this movie

One of my problems with this movie is I was completely on Red's side throughout even though they want it too seem like he learned something at the end.

Even though he was right the entire time, and the only reason there was conflict was because the other birds have no concept of stranger danger.
Yeah, Red was literally the only character in the movie with common sense. Every time he was upset he had a genuine reason for it. In a way, it's kinda like the Joker except kid-friendly.
