As of this writing, this may be the best sermon I've heard about guns. As a gun owner myself, I have struggled with the possibility of having to shoot and kill someone in which obviously I do not want to do. But at the same time as I heard someone say, we shouldn't be sitting ducks. I was a little bit surprised when you mentioned about President Obama commision a report about guns prevented violent crimes because the Democrat party is all for gun confiscation.
"Do not return evil for evil" "Turn the other cheek" "Dont resist the evil person" "Put your sword back for all who take the sword will perish by the sword" "Bless those who curse you , and pray for those who persecute you" "Love your enemies"
Would you allow yourself or others who did not provoke, to be killed if you had the chance to attempt to stop the violence? Evil triumphs when good people do nothing. As a survivor of violence, I now protect myself and the innocent. I've had a brother murdered. No one took up arms in his defense.

I have an AR15 and a P226 (not a Glock) in my safe and I will say this: people seem so eager and excited about the potential opportunity to use their weapons to end a life, even by justifiable legal means. Just listen to all the hoopla in the audience. It's like they're hearing what they want to. I think the bottom line of everything that Jesus was trying to convey on this issue is that carrying and using weapons might be a "necessary evil" in a fallen world. That's just my opinion, but I'm putting it out there as an attitude. In other words, "I'm prepared to use my weapon if I absolutely must, but would hate doing so." In my opinion, the attitude of a Christian should be that we hate the fact the we live in a state of existence where we have to keep weapons to defend ourselves. Lastly, don't forget that Jesus is NOT an American citizen. We are to mimic his likeness, not conform him to ours. I'm concerned this sermon might have been teetering on that.
Sad that people didnt notice this message. I have ar15 and 9mm laying right next to me. I just woke up at 6am hearing someone making strange sounds in my parking lot. Grabbed my gun and went out to check whats going on. Luckily noise was made by my workers. Though when I grabbed this gun I was hoping I wont have to use it. And if I do, then how do I use it so I dont kill a person. Thats why I have to lay in my bed and research about God’s opinion on this matter. As christians we should definitely seek ways not to hurt other living creatures as much as possible and use force as a last resort. Intention very much matters.. i wish none of us ever has to kill a person. Its a heavy burden to carry.
The sword was to fulfil prophecy just before Jesus was arrested, not to use in violence. Remember,? It's the time Peter cut off the bloke's ear and Jesus rebuked him and healed the guy's ear?
Isaiah 53:12 is the prophecy fulfilled: “12 Therefore will I divide him a portion with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong; because he hath poured out his soul unto death: and he was numbered with the transgressors; and he bare the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.” I believe, in one sense, those to whom Judas betrayed Jesus were the transgressors. Jesus healed the ear of Malchus after Peter cut it off, thereby interceding for his infirmity; but I feel we are the greatest transgressors. Also, it interests me that Jesus instructed Peter to “put the sword back in it’s place” rather than rid himself of it. The sword is not the issue; it is the intent with which it is wielded, the difference between defense(killing)and murder. Research the Hebraic words used and then re-read passages, including the commandments. That said, we are to Jesus exhorts is to Love our neighbors and enemies, and remember defense against someone who won’t allow themselves to be loved in the moment does not necessarily mean their death; seek GOD first for wisdom.
A peaceful man must be capable of violence, otherwise he is simply harmless. Christs teaching specifically prohibits us from forcing the gospel on others. We are to bring it in love, and even when rejected violently we are to turn the other cheek. But if someone comes at you or your family with criminal violent intent, as husbands and fathers you have a God given duty to protect! If this concept seems strange I recommend you read the book of Judges, Samuel and Kings... God set up characters to uphold justice, bring peace and deal with evil. He is the immutable God and the same principles still stand.
@@User-q6x3b Yet Jesus allowed him to bring the sword in the first place, so what did you hopefully learn now? 1: It still wasn't a metaphor and 2: context matters.
This was actually a great message. I just got through watching another video telling Christians to be passive punching bags. The world is so lost.
How do they think they beat down the luminanity and that's why they really hate us
Amazing! And we’ll said 🙏🏽✝️❤️
That was so intelligently spoken with wisdom. Thank you.
Thank you, jesus ❤
This provided so much clarity! Thank you!
The "...exists in other free states as well." comment alone earned the video a like! 😄
Awesome teaching!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
In modern times Jesus would have had a follow up question to the "two swords" statement. "How much ammo"?
thank you so much

Fulfill what prophecy in particular? I don't recall a prophecy about a man's ear being cut off before the crucifixion.
Correct, except there is also a meaning for the prophets to have 2 swords and not 12 sword - one for each prophet - and not 0 swords.
Jesus stopped Peter because of what was happening. Jesus was fulfilling his purpose of paying our sin debt.
Isaiah 53:12 is the prophecy fulfilled: “12 Therefore will I divide him a portion with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong; because he hath poured out his soul unto death: and he was numbered with the transgressors; and he bare the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.”

Also remember Jesus Christ said to put the sword in its place but not to throw it away ☦️🤫
