For me (An American) and my Malaysian wife, I found it most interesting to hear how she speaks in Malaysia vs the US. Beyond that, the food was out of this world.
As a Malaysian with Bruneian ancestry, I feel happy (proper happiness though, not overproud) when you say "the (Malaysian) food was out of this world"! If I have the chance to mix foods that represent both my nationality and my ancestry, I would mix nasi lemak and ambuyat in the same dish!

I think the best tips are be considerate and respect other people the way that you want to be respected, be brave (share what you like) and the right person will come to you.
Hats-off to both because of the level of respect, trust, and transparency you guys put in this relationship. Definitely, I agree with the terms "There's no wrong opinion" especially when there's curiosity about anything, ask to learn, adaptive. By the way, I hope you don't mind me asking, why do Americans wear shoes in their house?
Thank you very much for spreading positive vibes about tolerance, promoting cultural harmony & showing how to be empathetic to people coming from diverse backgrounds. Much respect to both of you. You are an adorable family that includes both your families in US & Malaysia. They've raised two wonderful children (both of you). Best wishes and love from India. 🙏

Terima kasih Logesh & Rachel bagi tips macam mana nak Kahwin dengan American tapi Sesetengah orang takkan tau dan ignore pasal *"Recognize the Difference"*
In Malaysia, orang Utara more to sugarcoat things than Borneo people. I’m Sabahan while my husband is Kedah people. Their slang is more kasar than Borneo people but they will not say directly if they don’t like. While we Borneo people slang is more lemah lembut but very straight to the point. Haha
I taught I missed the boat. But fortunately only now you open up the story. Wish your marriage last forever and may each day bring more love and laughter in your life.
One thing I have to agree with Logesh; Malaysians are obsessed to share their local food to their partners, especially foreign partners (and friends too!)
Haha you are one of the few influencing Malaysians icon that keeps on advocating in mixing couple. Durian+Kimchi Kakak+Korea and Mizi+Comel are the others that do the same. Keep it up.
Nak embrace differences tu blh, tp wajib berpandukan apa yg diajar dlm Islam utk yg beragama Islam. Semoga kita smua dpt masuk Syurga Firdaus tanpa 'azab dan hisab. Aamiin
Boleh ceritakan tak macam mana mula² sampai america??Sekarang logesh kerja apa & apa yang logesh buat untuk hidup kat sana.. Teringin jugak nak tahu..✌🏻

Respect to both of them. By the way, Rachel I want an American lady please!!! I won't put her on pedestal. Will treat as equal to me, no more no less. I will embrace the local culture (American way of course). I will adapt my mannerism, and love and appreciate American. I already practicing the accent 🤗. Will continue later...

I’m American but I do not wear shoes in my house.😂 I hate it when people do that. I always hear my mom’s voice in my head telling my dad to not wear his “e coli shoes in the house.” Haha Also maybe it’s because I’m southern but we always use tobasco, Texas Pete, BBQ sauce, bits of southern sausage in our food, etc so it must be different from the rest of the country. (Not that it’s anywhere near as spicy as some Asian foods).
Hi guys.. thanks for sharing. All of them are very informative and inspiring tips, Yay! 😃 I can't wait for another upcoming edition of this "Late night show" from you guys, thank you 👌🤞🙏
Quick question, it is something I dont understand about even until now: why wear shows in the house and isnt it tiring? (for me wearing shows is like my subconcious mind keep telling me I'm still "outside") 😅
I'm not watching this video yet. 1. She's got strong values ie she doesn't like sleeping with other people when married. Very important in today's age. All you need is to swipe right or left today. 2. She has and likes children. She doesn't get tattoos. Has a strong father model. Most people without fathers have father wounds that messes up the world. 3. She keeps you responsible, well behaved, open minded, and let's you know when to focus on money and when not to. She appreciated the car authentically. You could see it. The woman makes the house and family possible. But, it's not just you and her. It's all the good stuff, deeds etc done by humans over generations in both your families. 4. She doesn't do the status thing, as far as I can tell. Asian women care deeply about status. And, let's get something straight, it's like the what have you done for me lately song, but, enough of it, to make you 7 years older in 1 year. 5. Kiddo, you hit the lottery. If anyone is answering why they married you, it's got to be her. And, she's also said why. In India, you have the concept of lakshmi- which means the divine feminine is responsible for all things related to peace, stability etc. Boy, does she represent the archetype like no Indian and Asian woman I've seen as yet.
I totally agree with Logesh on "Bring your partner back to Malaysia"! To be honest, I would like to marry an American Muslim girl because, well, I just want to experience the joy of ballroom dancing (like that one picture I see in this video), as well as the joy of playing with colorful leaves (during Autumn) and the joy of playing with snow (during Winter) if I do visit her country someday! To be honest, I would bring her to Kota Kinabalu after we get married, because I still want to be loyal to Malaysia but it doesn't mean that I will make her abandon her family completely! I will still fly to the United States to visit her hometown during Hari Raya! Regarding food and local culture, I would like to introduce the wonders of Malaysian food to my wife and also her family (not to mention that I can cook good food since I was 13 years old) for each time I visit them during Hari Raya and I'll only speak English when I visit the United States but I'll never forget speaking Malay (with Kota Kinabalu slang) and I'll even teach her to speak Malay when we're in Malaysia! Before I pen off, I need to say that I totally enjoyed watching this video so much! I hope that I can use these tips to make sure I can get married with a faithful, kind and fun-loving American Muslim girl someday. In sha Allah!
Doa banyak² lps solat, atau bila² masa aje awak teringat nak berdoa. Mohon pd Allah. Dia yg aturkan semuanya. Tulis kat sini panjang² pasal cita² awak etc, memang tak salah. Cuma lebih afdal terus pd Dia.

Hi, thank you for the video:) I curious how or what was the reason that made a decision to live in America instead of Malaysia. My malaysian bf and I are both working in Malaysia but sometime I feel scared whether I can live in other country... worries :(
All the points applies to any relationship. Except sugarcoating. In Asia. Only men does that. Women can go as rude as possible because they are always right.
Malaysian's people are always thinking if out there the blue/Green eyes girl/woman might be really hate the brown eyes Asian men.Yeah.. it's ok we understood😆..
Now I watched the video. 1. Logesh is authentic. He wears his heart on his sl eve. So, if he's lying, he's probably the sort who will tell you he's lying. Or, he will do such a bad job at hiding, that you'll know what's up, how, when and why. 2. He cooks, and participates in household activities. No woman can put up with a guy, who doesn't want to participate in household and babysitting and child rearing activities. And, he wants to do it. And, he's willing to listen to feedback, and care. She has trained you well. Don't get me wrong. Someone needs to train the other person, in a relationship. And, she's done such a good job, you don't know she's trained you. Ie logesh is trainable, and, doesn't go I'm the man of the house. He would do that. But, he doesn't figure it out. So, he's happy thinking it's a shared life. He's participated wonderfully. Thank you for moulding our boy Logesh. 3. He's Asian ie hardworking, finds good deals, direct, pushes himself, cares about being a father over his own personal problems and can do that. I know American men love and want to be active fathers in their kids lives. But, since these guys are alone, and the struggle is much more when you're alone, quite a few of them face depression. And, a host of other issues. You need the warmth of social support in the States. But, the main vale I've seen is rugged individualism, which requires loneliness on your path here. So, that's why Logesh appears healthier as a life partner and mate. If I was a woman, I'd woo him too. Thankfully, I'm not. And, I'll find my own woman by 37 You guys are amazing
haha same...southern is like kampong accent macam kelate accent in northern malaysia...there is a kick about it comparing with urbanized accent hahahaha
My Sri Lankan partner surprised me with a 50 pack of the most beautiful gel pens Textbooks And the most gorgeous toothbrush And taking me to the ER at 3 am .a lot of things He says I'm more Desi than him.
Not trying to be racist here, but Logesh obviously looks South Asian, and maybe to disapprove that you guys embrace connection to Malaysia (also maybe he was born to south asian parents in Malaysia), but does he get the typical South Asian stereo typing from other Americans (white, black & hispanics) ? i'm just curious to know, cause im also a south asian living in america and get that stereotyping a lot.
