I can put the Coen Bros. but I've only seen The Big Lebowski from them. They would basically rank just above where Kevin Smith would be. I like Terminator 1 & 2 + True Lies, but I don't have any James Cameron film in my top 100 favs.
I used to love Doug Liman before he did the Bourne franchise but I only really liked Swingers (1996). I still enjoyed Go (1999) but its aged worse than Swingers did. I used to drop E(cstasy) and that's NOT how e-tards react to the drug. Timothy Olyphant and Sarah Polley were great in it.
I like Betty Thomas and Joe Pytka. Betty was the bitch in Troop Beverly Hills, Velda. I enjoyed The Brady Bunch Movie (1995) and Private Parts (1997). She makes fun comedies. Joe Pytka only has two non-doc films and I enjoyed them both: Let It Ride (1989) and Space Jam (1996).
I haven't seen enough Hitchcock and Kubrick films to really judge their work. I've only seen a handful of Mel Brooks comedies. History of the World Part I (1981) is my fav over Young Frankenstein, Blazing Saddles, Spaceballs, and Robin Hood: Men in Tights.

I've watched Pulp Fiction, The Hateful Eight, and Once Upon A Time... In Hollywood countless times. I've seen Django Unchained many times as well and saw Inglourious Basterds multiple times in the theater back in 2009.
Characters and dialogue are where Tarantino is as it his strongest over the other directors. Sometimes, he'll do questionable scenes like in OUATIH beating up on that gingerhead girl like we saw Jennifer Jason Leigh got in H8Ful.
QT has loved so many bad movies, so he has B-rated tendencies like his pal, Robert Rodriguez. I remember From Dusk Til Dawn was very interesting that first hour. By the time people turned into vampires, it got really cheesy and stupid. And QT can tend to drag a scene a little too long.
Overall, Tarantino has my fav films to keep rewatching. Spielberg has many of my fav films I saw in the theater. And Scorsese and Zemeckis have 2 films in my top 10 favs. Casino and Goodfellas are perfect to me. Faster pacing than The Godfather films. Great music and camerawork. Pesci makes those movies shine.
Well that I A LOT of lists haha. Very ambitious of you! I could likely do the same for many of those directors too, but I often prefer to do full rankings. For the time being it may be easier to do Top 10's like yourself because I still have plenty to watch from directors like Spielberg and Scorsese
The Dark Knight is in my top 5 favorite movies of all time. Great Ranking
Comfortable at #2 on my all-time list 🙌🏻
Fantastic ranking, Brett! Christopher Nolan is absolutely one of my Top 5 favorite directors working today from his passion for film, creative and original ideas and delivering spectacle.

I totally agree Jack! It’s tough to beat Nolan these days, he sits comfortably as my favourite director working today! I dig your list buddy! I’d agree with you that those are probably the lowest scores I’d give a Nolan movie too lol. Maybe I’m a little bias, but he doesn’t miss in my opinion!
Thanks so much for watching buddy! I look forward to hearing your full thoughts on Oppenheimer!

Nice! Happy to see the love for The Prestige! Fantastic and underrated movie!
Unpopular opinion : I find Dark Knight Rises greater than The Dark Knight
That is a VERY unpopular opinion and a very bold claim…I love it haha. Honestly for a while I felt the same way after first seeing TDKR! Still a 10/10 for me but I prefer TDK slightly more!

Rises and Dark Knight are equally great tbh.
Whoooooa Tenet in first is an absolute showstopper! Think this is the first list ive seen with Tenet in first! Was actually listening to a podcast where someone had that in first and I was a little shocked.
Won't hear any complaining from me, the TDKR slander really gets under my skin haha. Brilliant 10/10 movie in my opinion! Thanks for watching
Thank you for loving The Dark Knight Rises!!! It's an absolutely amazing and ambitious conclusion! I think it's just popular to hate on it!
Haha my pleasure! I completely agree with you! No idea where all of this hate started to come from over the passed couple of years, makes no sense to me! It’s been 11 years since this movie came out and since I saw it opening night it’s still a 10/10 for me!
For me it is the weakest of the three due mostly to the writing. I felt the time jumps, “Braveheart”-esque end battle, the glossing over of Bruce’s injuries, and of course Talia’s death all a bit goofy. Sort of a death by a thousand cuts type of situation…. I also know several people who were pretty upset about the twist turning Bane into a lap dog.
All that being said, I still absolutely love this movie. The positives far outweigh any negatives and I think this one gets some unjust hate simply because it came after TDK, and living up to that film is truly a Herculean task.
@@tyzerp well said. It’s certainly not without its issues. But I’m with you on the positives out-weighing those negatives!
@@BAMTubeMovies yes!!!
@@tyzerp Yeah I see that, but tbh a lot of the issues I didn't see until people started pointing them out. I feel like they are nit picks that are recycled talking points.
I think collectively we hold Nolan to a higher standard. We expect his storylines to be totally airtight when we let plot holes and unrealistic elements slide in basically every other superhero show.

Also have you heard of the original cancelled Star Wars Sequel Trilogy directed by George Lucas from the 1980s? It sounded very interesting.
In this unmade version the main villian role would’ve been Darth Maul he would’ve returned and we would’ve seen the crime syndicate that he started in clone wars take over the power vacuum that was in the galaxy after the fall of the empire. There would be total chaos and crime would be skyrocketing as the galaxy became a more lawless and violent place and Darth Maul would be on everything.
Maul would’ve taken on a new apprentice Darth Talon who would have served as his enforcer in the galaxy very similar to how Darth Vader who served Palpatine.
Darth Maul would have been very similar to a godfather role in the galaxy he would have loved to see Palpatine’s empire fall and used his influence in the galaxy’s underworld to seize control afterwards. Talon would be on his right hand and she would be kind of his main sword and sheild as she went through the galaxy enforcing his will.
Leading the charge for the good guys would’ve been Leia would take on the main Skywalker role for this sequel trilogy.
We still would’ve seen Luke as he would’ve gathered and train the next generation of the Jedi and as he fought against Darth Maul and Darth Talon, but Luke would’ve had a role similar to Obi-Wan Kenobi’s as kind of the wise and sage side characters.
Now this is where things get interesting according to Duncan, Lucas planned on making Leia the chosen one at the end of everything, because while Anikin did destroy the sith and the Jedi it was Leia who was going to bring order and peace back to the galaxy after so much war and conflict.
Leia would’ve been the leading general in the new republic and eventually following in her mother’s footsteps would reform the republic and become the supreme chancellor.
Thoughts?
I think this trilogy sounded amazing
Great list Cole! I have heard bits and pieces of some of what you have described here. It all sounds pretty good but who knows how the execution would have been. Lucas got full control of the Prequels and although they have been growing in popularity in recent years, they're far from perfect and received so much criticism when they first released. So many amazing ideas in that trilogy too but Lucas as a writer/director has a mixed track record for me haha
Just like you my favorite film from Christopher Nolan is The Dark Knight. With him being one of the greatest movie directors of all time he could be on the Mount Rushmore of directors.
Thrilled to see we’re on the same page Alec! He’d absolutely be on my Mount Rushmore of directors! Can’t wait to see what he comes up with next, he’s one of the few directors left that when he releases a movie it feels like a big event!

Thanks for checking this one and sharing your list!
Insomnia so low huh haha😮
@@_el_boynto well you’ve got me there! Even I feel bad about that one! Tough to rank them when you love them all 😅
Martin Scorsese ranking one day I hope 😉
After watching Oppenheimer, I will definitely say one thing.
I'm blown away by each and every technical easter egg I have seen in the film.
The clip-chopping technique used here reminded me of Memento.
The chapter division reminded me of Dunkirk.
The visuals reminded me of Interstellar.
The exposition reminded me of both Batman Begins and Tenet.
The dialogues reminded me of The Dark Knight.
The black-and-white reminded me of Following.
Nolan brought the best of his previous works to the table with this film, and I'm glad he did.
What's even better is making Cillian Murphy the central character.
The star cast definitely had me hyped up, but what felt even better was that Cillian finally got to be the protagonist in a Nolan film for once. More than the film, I'm happy for Cillian.
This is both a reverence to one of history's most well-known figures, and Nolan's gesture of gratitude to his expansive fanbase filled with people like you and me, Brett!
After watching Oppenheimer, I would say it's definitely Nolan's best in my opinion. He pulled the best techniques from his previous work and used them to bring us a gripping story.
Oppenheimer is the new #1 and all other movies in my previous ranking take a step down from their previous positions to make way for the best!
Well said Animesh! I think Nolan, and everyone else really, definitely put their best foot forward on this one. Some of the cast even delivering what I believe to be career high performances!
It's pretty crazy that I can confidently give this movie a 9/10 and it still ends up at #7 on my list. The power of Nolan eh? Thanks for watching and sharing your thoughts my friend! I'm happy to see the passion for Nolan's latest!

Idk if I have even seen 10 Gore Verbinski movies? I know he did the first 3 Pirates movies, Rango, The Lone Ranger, Cure for Wellness. But that's about it that I can remember haha
@@BAMTubeMovies DKR is hugely underrated.
Verbinski has also directed Ring, Weather Man, Mexican and MouseHunt. I would greatly appreciate a ranking of his filmography from you
Had Heath Ledger still lived on, he would've been cast in other Nolan films.
I feel like after the performance he gave in TDK, I'm not sure we would have seen another Nolan movie WITHOUT Ledger if he hadn't passed away. One of the brightest lights in Hollywood that was gone far too soon!
Just watched Oppenheimer and it’s really heavy movie. Other Nolan movies I watched many times except Dunkirk but I don’t think I will watch Oppenheimer many times. Having me said that I need to watch it again with subtitles when its available on streaming subtitles as I had difficulty with English in Oppenheimer especially when they talk about physics.
Definitely a heavy movie, lots to digest! I am wondering the same, I loved Oppenheimer but I’m not sure how often I’ll revisit it! Don’t worry, I got lost plenty during Oppenheimer too haha, the science-y stuff isn’t my strongest subject!
Thanks for watching!

9 - Tenet (8/10)
10 - Insomnia (8/10)
11 - Following (7/10)
12 - The Dark Knight Rises (6/10)
Oof, the TDKR shade feels like a gut punch lol. It’s an easy 10/10 for me but I know I’m in the minority on that one! I agree with much of the rest of your ranking!
I appreciate you checking out the video and sharing your list!
Oppenheimer was a very special occasion for me so i just couldn't do Barbenheimer cuz its a "meme", it was genuinely an important event for me haha. I watched it at the TCL Chinese Theater, i was shaking throughout the whole thing from excitement lmao
1. The Dark Knight (LMAO "THE MOST BASIC BITCH ANSWER"🤣)
2. Inception
3. Intesteller
4. The Dark Knight Rises
5. Oppenheimer (i have my fair share of flaws with it, I'm still mixed with it but i can safely say that im more on the love it side)
6. Batman Begins
7. Tenet
8. The Prestige (i have so much more stuff to love in Tenet than the prestige haha)
9. Dunkirk
10. Memento (i loose intrest when the second half happens on rewatches
11. Insomnia
12. Following
Great Ranking!
Happy to hear you were so excited bro, so was I! You definitely have quite the interesting ranking here! Glad to see our Top 4 almost perfectly align tho man!
Thanks for watching bud!
It's unfortunate because I am of the same mind as you. I love Beetle as a character and want to see him succeed. I would prefer to see it in a theatre than straight to streaming, but now is just not the time to drop it one way or another.
The Flash and Shazam both just bombed, people are uncertain about the future of DC with the reset coming and some characters carrying over, and then we have the strikes too. Bad time to be releasing almost any movie honestly. Not to mention Barbenheimer is still dominating the box office.
Can u make more review videos and have a rating system pls?
Definitely! I’ve been doing my reviews as Shorts lately because they have been much more successful. Typically only for new movies and the rest I have been reviewing over on Letterboxd
Here's my ranking:
12. Following - solid start
11. Tenet - his most pretentious
10. Dunkirk - overated
9. Oppenheimer - compelling but not rewatchable or emotionally impactful
8. Memento - mind-blowing experience, thought the story on rewatch isn't as interesting
7. Insomnia - an underated crime.thriller
6. The prestige - just amazing
5. Interstellar - an experience
4. The Dark Knight Rises - great ending to the batman trilogy
3. Batman Begins - an exceptional origin story
2. Inception - Nolan's Magnus Opus
1. Dark Knight - Nolan most rewatchable magnum opus
Wicked list! Glad to see someone agrees with some of my hotter takes like Dunkirk being overrated and TDKR belonging towards the top!
Tenet way underated
It’s hard to place them when you love them all. Really enjoyed Tenet, I’d still score it super high but extremely tough competition!
I've only seen 7 of the 12. But currently, my top Nolan movie is Interstellar. The Dark Knight is number two...but its a distant second.
You’ll hear no complaints for me! I adore Interstellar, crushes me to see it so low on so many peoples lists!
Thanks for sharing your thoughts!
@@BAMTubeMovies It's probably my favorite film of all time. I absolutely love it!
@@Sharri2008 it’s in my Top 10 of all time as well haha
oppenheimer is top 3
Not for myself. Still a 9/10 but everything above it is also a 9/10 or 10/10. Tough ranking to do
My list
1. Inception 10/10
2. Memento 10/10
3. The Dark Knight 10/10
4. Interstellar 10/10
5. Oppenheimer 9/10
6. Dunkirk 9/10
7. The prestige 9/10
8. Batman Begins 9/10
9. Tenet 8/10
10 The dark knight rises 8/10
11. Insomnia 7/10
12. Following 7/10
I dig the list Drew! I feel very similarly about Nolan’s work. Don’t think I’d score anything of his below a 7 either. My Top 4 are also 10/10 but I just have Memento and TDKR swapped!
Thanks for checking the video and sharing your thoughts
Yw yeah I don’t think Nolan has any movie below a 7 I just really like Memento because the movie is so unique and the way it’s told is different from any other movie I have ever seen that’s why I have it number 2
@@drewshofner1799 you’re absolutely right on that one! The movie came out 20 years ago and there still hasn’t been anything quite like it!
I have to say I can see some of his vision if he directed this movie that were either bad or were cancelled,
Chappie 2 and 3: Cancelled
Transformers Revenge of the Fallen: Bad
Batman & Robin: Bad
The Amazing Spider-Man 3: Cancelled
Pearl Harbor: Bad
I have more but I only tried to find some bad movies he could done better if he directed or if they were cancelled due its predecessor.
Interesting take! I kind of like the lane Nolan is staying in right now. I do prefer the weirder stuff tho like Inception, Interstellar or Tenet over saaaay Dunkirk.
I did love Oppenheimer, but it’s still on the lower end of the ranking for me
BAZINGA!!! EPIC POP FUNKO MARVEL ! BAM BAM WABOOM BABY LET’S GO!!!
BEST VIDEO EVER!! I
Agreed…I think?
