Cause Vega that's what fanboys do! --They don't like projects- they troll the internet knocking this movie or that movie or bitching about casting. Didn't you see the uproar about casting Affleck as Batman or Gal Gadot as WW. How long have you been on the internet?
The wrongheaded core of the concept is exposed when the Invisible Man's line about the governments of the world "squealing in terror" is portrayed as though the threat is real. In the movie, it's an effective scene because it shows us he's completely lost his mind; he's no global threat, just a deluded murderer.
I don't why people are complaining , I think it's pretty cool to see all the original monster movies make a come back again and we get to see it in better quality.
Because instead of being Gothic horror they're making them into action movies. They already turned The Mummy into an Indiana jones style film and it looks like they've done it again with the new one. They're treating theses monsters as 'super heros' and that's why we're fucked off with it.
Thank you, Universal. Everyone is going to shit on you for revamping the classic monsters, but I am excited and looking forward to following this new era of monster movies! Please, just give us two and a half hours of action with bland humor and no attempt at originality and we will be happy about it! I can't wait to see The Mummy. I mean, Tom Cruise and Russell Crowe are it and they are A-list Oscar-winning actors so this HAS to be good. Also, I hope these new films give us better origin stories than the old films did. I want to know about how the Mummy came to be, also what is up with Dr. Jeckyl, how does he tie into this story? Will the previous Dracula film be considered canon now or what or will they reboot that?
Thank for reminding me to watch the classics instead of the nonsensical reboots of today. Ever since Marvel everything has to have a shared universe today it's just annoying.
Why not? He was part of the original monster collection.. although the silent film was great the coloured talkie film was shit. Hammer made a good gothic version too,
This is an amazing video. I love it, and the classic images are so beautiful. I just wished they left the footage from Phantom in color. It's too bad that the new crap is just that... crap... garbage. Cinematic Universes need to go away.
I just really hope they keep a consistent title format for all of their movies! like, the first movie is titled "The Mummy". okay. cool! now title the next one "The Invisible Man", and the next one "The Wolf Man", and the next one "The Frankenstein". please!
Watching it with this unfitting music feels comical as fk. These movies moved slow and felt surreal as fk, nothing in there fits this type of over the top, try to impress you with everything generic orchestral score
literally a perfect example of everything wrong with the modern state of film. im surprised someone hasnt made mashups of Dirty Dozen, Magnificent Seven, Seven Samurai, set to Suicide Squad trailer
Megadarkhawk Basically they are gonna remake every movie on the list they show at the end of this video starting with the mummy that tom cruise is staring in. Bride of Frankenstein is next which will release in 2019 I believe.
It could have been great, but for two massive mistakes. 1 - Make HORROR films, not action adventure movies. 2 - Set the universe in the past. 30's, 40's, even 60's or Victorian times.
For people who saw the originals as kids during the initial releases? Anyone still alive who did are now in their 90s or 100s. Or do you mean generally old people because these movies are general old? Sounds like a perpetuation of the idiocy of the React Channel.
If the failures of Wolfman (2010), I Frankenstein, Dracula Untold, and The Mummy (2017) should teach anything, it's that a serious horror tone will NOT work for the Universal Monsters in this day and age. They should go for a lighter tone akin to the Brendan Fraiser Mummy movie. Hell, just put the classic monsters in a Suicide Squad and unleash them on the Nazis during WWII. THAT would be awesome!
Jake Andrews Dracula, Frankenstein, Bride of Frankenstein, Creature from the Black Lagoon, The Wolf Man, The Mummy, The Phantom of the Opera, The Invisible Man
I totally respect these classics and I use to love Dracula as a kid but I tried watching it recently and realized that there is no music in the entire movie besides the opening and ending credits. It's incredibly slow to watch now.
PrincepsComitatus What is wrong with this as an idea? The whole point of this is from the beginning the Universal Monsters were already in a shared universe of sorts. They're just remaking them which is understandable for some very old movies.
Hi, no. Uvinersal is planning to release REMAKES of their classic monster movies, starting with The Mummy and Bride of Frankenstein in 2019. Every monster movie will be remade with different cast and this is a retrospective teaser for it.
So this is your one and only resource Universal? Marvel and even that shit called DC are gonna kick the shit out of your Pussyverse 🤣🤣🤣 Jk, i hope some day to see a Dark Univerese / Marvel / DC / Brazzers cross over.
So that's it huh? We're some kind of... Universal Monsters... Eh, that one didn't work well.
I actually want to watch this since I haven't seen any of the old ones.
Well... Go and watch the old ones.
Vega: Wretched and awful?-That's describes your taste Go troll somewhere else fanboy!
Cause Vega that's what fanboys do! --They don't like projects- they troll the internet knocking this movie or that movie or bitching about casting. Didn't you see the uproar about casting Affleck as Batman or Gal Gadot as WW. How long have you been on the internet?
Welcome to a new world of gods and monsters
I came here to see whether the trailer Redlettermedia put was a joke. Oh no....
This trailer is awesome; I wish it was attached to a better product.
Amazing! They have the right idea in mind. I hope they honor the originals. I want to see the Universal Monsters come back with a vengence!
"to a new world of gods and monster"pretty lit line
I wish it was a League of Extraordinary Gentleman that should be forming
I only got Frankenstein and Dracula on blu ray, I can't wait to get the rest, this looks awesome.
When overpaid studio heads completely miss the point of what people enjoyed about these films...
The rise of the universal cinematic monsters will rise again Yeeees
soon my comment will drown in the sea of comments
I see you're really desperate for likes.
ErFaN ThE Perfect I will not let it drown
I subscribed
Shayan 95 no u dont
For now, the see of comments is 51
Is this actually real?
Yes, it is...
The wrongheaded core of the concept is exposed when the Invisible Man's line about the governments of the world "squealing in terror" is portrayed as though the threat is real. In the movie, it's an effective scene because it shows us he's completely lost his mind; he's no global threat, just a deluded murderer.
lol, this is embarrassing. The studios are creatively bankrupt.
Whichever studio executive thought this was a good idea should lose their job and never work in the film industry ever again.
Can wait for Dracula to go against Team Six. You laugh now, but remember my comment when the helicopters are flying over the Carpathian mountains.
It's so dark, nobody can see it anymore
I don't why people are complaining , I think it's pretty cool to see all the original monster movies make a come back again and we get to see it in better quality.
I agree
Agree!
People are fake movie critics that's why?
Because instead of being Gothic horror they're making them into action movies. They already turned The Mummy into an Indiana jones style film and it looks like they've done it again with the new one. They're treating theses monsters as 'super heros' and that's why we're fucked off with it.
MephProduction ok.....and?
I think this will be great !

They can't POSSIBLY think Phantom of the Opera could work in this....
Why not? He was part of the original monster collection.. although the silent film was great the coloured talkie film was shit. Hammer made a good gothic version too,
Lord Seshomaru 86 they'll make him hack a bunch of people to death with a sword, amidst explosions and gunfire. PG-13 of course.
came for the name...stayed for what I saw next
This is an amazing video. I love it, and the classic images are so beautiful. I just wished they left the footage from Phantom in color. It's too bad that the new crap is just that... crap... garbage. Cinematic Universes need to go away.
This feels that the Dark Universe are going to do to the legacy of the old ones as "Ghostbusters answer the call" did as well.
The Creature of the Black Lagoon ! Gill Man was here !
Cool
I would love to see a Blacula remake
Best. Thing. Ever.
I just really hope they keep a consistent title format for all of their movies! like, the first movie is titled "The Mummy". okay. cool! now title the next one "The Invisible Man", and the next one "The Wolf Man", and the next one "The Frankenstein". please!
Lovecraft movies cometh!
I liked Dracula Untold, too bad it is no longer canon
And the wolfman (2010)
This had me in splits and splats ..!
Yup, you can drop the nukes now. Humanity has gone to hell
[exist really dark hunter]™°°° ∆∆∆©©©®®®™
Dark Universe should now be called Dead Universe.
The reason why people are hating this is because they are trying to profit on the marvel universe by making horror movies into action movies
I hope they maintain the quality of classics but instincts say that this will fail if they go for PG 13
DUCU - the dark universe cinematic universe
Are these being released on blu ray?
I really would like to see the constatine movie
What the music ?
this hardcore action music really fits old corny horror films
So.. Is this seperate from the trash mummy movie or all the old monsters hinted for films in it?
Name of the song, please?
it doesn't have a name, it was composed by Danny Elfman for the trailer.
Okay.
MephProduction I swear, I heard this song in a couple of trailers.
probs been used many times,
MephProduction So it might have a name.
It started with Kong, than Mummy. What's next?
what is this music? Also the legends of darkness returns!!!!
Danny Elfman's music gives you the chills even when watching 50 year old movies
50? Most of the original Universal monster movies are almost 90 years old.
Watching it with this unfitting music feels comical as fk.
These movies moved slow and felt surreal as fk, nothing in there fits this type of over the top, try to impress you with everything generic orchestral score
Thought this was a parody. I was wrong.
literally a perfect example of everything wrong with the modern state of film. im surprised someone hasnt made mashups of Dirty Dozen, Magnificent Seven, Seven Samurai, set to Suicide Squad trailer
so my question is, is it the monsters that are forming an alliance or is it the heroes from each movie joining forces? or is it both?
Megadarkhawk Basically they are gonna remake every movie on the list they show at the end of this video starting with the mummy that tom cruise is staring in. Bride of Frankenstein is next which will release in 2019 I believe.
And I find it strange they're doing the Bride before the Monster. It will be interesting to see how they make that happen.
So this is what trying way too hard looks like.
Lol, yes, yes it is.
i hope the reboot to these films are made to look like the hammer horrors, Dont really want to see a modern day version of frankenstein or dracula.
-- Bro.. I been on *TCM*.
I can't tell if they are joking or if they are being for real....
monster movies? fuck yes ill take that any day
So The Dark Universe's equivalent to the Avengers would be The Monster Squad, right? If so I'm in.
Awesome. Properly epic - just... please, Universal - do NOT fuck it up, eh?
I won't forgive you if you do.
does anyone know the music of this trailer?
Something Danny Elfman composed for the trailer.
I would be on board for this if they didn't do some lazy ass fan edit of the old movies.
It could have been great, but for two massive mistakes.
1 - Make HORROR films, not action adventure movies.
2 - Set the universe in the past. 30's, 40's, even 60's or Victorian times.
Wait till the Mummy comes out and ruins this legacy.
who's Mom?
shit
I smell a pessimist
bet he didn't even see The Mummy movies
PsychoBoyJack I watched the first two couldn't finish the third.
FBE should do an Elders React on this. Like this comment if you agree.
For people who saw the originals as kids during the initial releases? Anyone still alive who did are now in their 90s or 100s. Or do you mean generally old people because these movies are general old? Sounds like a perpetuation of the idiocy of the React Channel.
And it sounds like you are too serious bro. Why so serious bro?
If the failures of Wolfman (2010), I Frankenstein, Dracula Untold, and The Mummy (2017) should teach anything, it's that a serious horror tone will NOT work for the Universal Monsters in this day and age.
They should go for a lighter tone akin to the Brendan Fraiser Mummy movie. Hell, just put the classic monsters in a Suicide Squad and unleash them on the Nazis during WWII. THAT would be awesome!
I Frankenstein *wasn't* made by Universal.
I thought necrophilia was illegal...
can someone list all the movies shown in here?
Jake Andrews Dracula, Frankenstein, Bride of Frankenstein, Creature from the Black Lagoon, The Wolf Man, The Mummy, The Phantom of the Opera, The Invisible Man
As Lawrence Talbot/Wolf Man ?Sebastian Stan.
#henryJekyll is the nick fury of new #monstermovies
OST?
don't worry my dear humans I'll be back to drink your blood
& then after this....#DCUniverseVsDarkUniverse lmfao
F*ck why does my phone screen turn into Black & White..
I totally respect these classics and I use to love Dracula as a kid but I tried watching it recently and realized that there is no music in the entire movie besides the opening and ending credits. It's incredibly slow to watch now.
I think it is under new management. But the last couple of years have been embarrassing to TV.
I think this is an admission that Hollywood has finally runned out of ideas.
PrincepsComitatus What is wrong with this as an idea? The whole point of this is from the beginning the Universal Monsters were already in a shared universe of sorts. They're just remaking them which is understandable for some very old movies.
PrincepsComitatus what does runned mean?
what is this i don't get it like old movies with better quality?
Hi, no. Uvinersal is planning to release REMAKES of their classic monster movies, starting with The Mummy and Bride of Frankenstein in 2019. Every monster movie will be remade with different cast and this is a retrospective teaser for it.
and this time they're gonna figure out they were onto something with the shared universe they had with the 2nd mummy remake
Ah thank you now im kind of hype
go to myspleen or fanedits websites and get the color version of the films, someone will do it. Also wow you rude to old films.
They're reminding us of the good stuff Universal used to do before they take a massive dump on us.
i have faith in this shit :'D
What a misleading thumbnail
? goúd? Gotta c it.Thx u. 🙌😤💀♎
Hopefully Universal fucks this up so monster movies can stay dead
no Jeckl or Dorean Gray
Right!! we need a sequal to the league of extraordinary gentleman so bad...i was kinda hoping maybe thats what this was at first...high hopes lol

So this is your one and only resource Universal? Marvel and even that shit called DC are gonna kick the shit out of your Pussyverse 🤣🤣🤣
Jk, i hope some day to see a Dark Univerese / Marvel / DC / Brazzers cross over.
