I treasure my grandfather's IXL. Stag handled pruning knife. Wonderful thing and the nicest piece in my collection. I remember him when I hold it along with my late father who owned and used it after him
I just stumbled upon this channel this morning. Being a pocket knife nut, I found this to be an interesting and informative history lesson. Thank you very much. And thank you Jesus. ✝️😀
Interesting thank you, I just happened on your video by chance. I'm lucky to have one of his 10" Bowie knives in near mint condition, it's an absolute beast of a knife, a stunning one at that, and etched with a dedication to the Emperor of Brazil.
Very interesting...I have one, called a "Texas Stock Knife", etched on the blade, rosewood handle...it's similar to the one in lower center of your restored display case shown towards the end of the talk.
Fascinating. I love this channel. I received a “Congress” pocketknife on my twelfth birthday in 1962. It was a Boker copy of the model shown. I used it until it was worn to nubs. I still have it. I believe I will forge new blades for it. Is there a reprinted catalog available of these Wostenholm knives?

Does it have the shield with the dates 1787-1980 ? these were made to mark the anniversary of wostenholms.
@@stevencockerknives No. I inherited this knife from my father in the mid 1970's. He collected things.
