Hi Steven, your group with this bow looks better than the new 2025 bow you shot. For me the best bow is the one I shoot the best, then there's the others that one enjoy more to shoot 👌
I hand this same bow in left hand. Was an excellent hunting bow. Never gave me any issues. Wished I had never sold it. It was the “ bees knees” back then. I sold my Evolve 35 like a damn idiot. I have never sold another bow I have bought, never will.
Love the bow. I had the opportunity to purchase one on eBay. Great condition but needed strings. $500+$100 shipping and approximately $180 for strings. U.S.$. I thought it was to high. Did I miss out or does it sound to expensive. I appreciate your opinion.
You would have to ADD a POUND of weight to that 2015 Decree to do a fair comparison as far as feel at the shot is concerned. Of course a 5 lb bow is going to have less jump than a 4 lb bow. And I'd be willing to bet the 2015 is just as fast as the 2025, if not faster! I've been an archer for 49 years. And not just when archery hunting season rolled around! As more and more folks get into archery, I have seen a trend of archers becoming pussies. If their bow kicks the least little bit, they complain. I guess it's from the increased consumption of soy products. I'm really not a huge fan of the longer riser, but I knew years ago that the bows would evolve this way. Me and an archer friend of mine talked about this back in the late 80's. Talking strictly from a mechanical perspective, we both agreed that the risers would get long and limbs would get short and more parallel. I did not foresee the limbs getting as wide as they are now. Longer risers, wider fatter limbs, and 1/4" axles make the newer bows a good bit heavier. I'm not ready to go to from a 4 lb bow to a 5 lb bow yet. Maybe the soy products are getting to me too! But I'll keep my 2012-2015's.

I still have my PSE decree and Stinger both excellent bows
HD was for the that hyper drive cam. The fast one was the IC for inertia cam. Still have my 16 IC, solid speed bow
I would love an OG Decree 35

Steve, off topic but what is your opinion of the Astra Shot Trainer?

Why do you focus so much on compound bows?
