    I’m a Thomas and I love north of franklinton close to stateline. My grandpaw said we had family come from the North Carolina area back in the day. Just cool to hear it from someone else

    My great great grandfather fought in the civil war and was from Franklinton and my father was named Frank.😊

    Louisana was so nice to me when I visited now I wanna move there thank you for your videos it really puts a smile on my face. The way you tell the history is nicely done God bless you and your family love history keep up the good work boo

    My Aunt Cleo had a material shop on the corner of one of the main streets in town. Franklinton is also where the State Fair is held every year in mid to late October.

      It’s actually the Washington Parish Free Fair. The LA State Fair is held in Shreveport. 😊

    I have family in those parishes. Some most definitely have the Creole accent. Nevertheless, this is a good history lesson. Thanks for sharing

    I was in Franklin and a truck driver wanted to get directions for his delivery sport in Franklinton, he wasn't happy to find out he was in the wrong town.

    Franklinton also has
    The worlds largest Free Fair every year in October the 3week of October pay to park (citizens open there lawns up so you pay to park) but free admission free concerts
    Rodeo nights at the fair sell out fast you can get tickets online or from a future Rodeo queen contestant
    Washington Parish Hot Air Balloon Festival
    Washington Parish Watermelon Festival
    Mile Brach Christmas Festival
    The best Christmas Parade all lit up
    We have
    Bogue Chitto State Park
    Zona Atv recreational Park
    White Sand Beach
    Louisiana River Adventures ( tubing down the river)
    Riverbend Campground/wedding venue
    BOGUE CHITTO SWAMP CABINS (log cabins very nice on the river)
    Varnado Museum in Franklinton
