I’ve been waiting for Armada to get some kind of update for YEARS. So glad Hasbro is listening and starting off with a character I personally grew up with and hold dear to my heart. Long live Armada Starscream and I can’t wait for more of Armada to come out. I’d really like to see Armada Blurr and Wheeljack to get figures eventually.
I don't like It because he's missing the one thing Armada figure were known for where's his Mini con like why Hasbro you had one job yet they fucked It up

This has definitely been one of the most anticipated TF figures of all of 2022 and he sure delivers! Armada Starscream is a great and cool figure, Legacy have sure done him justice. My one complaint would have to be though is the Starsaber accessory he comes with is a little small, could’ve just been a little bigger I feel. Definitely a must get for me!
To be fair, its not like the UT has that much of a divide in style over G1. its *different* ovbiously, but not prime levels of differing. if something, it is a tad bit less boxy.
When I saw that you could bring the cannons forward unlike the deluxe Armada starscream that we had I could hear Michael Dobson exclaim "fire null laser cannons" The only small complaint I think I can level against this from what I've seen is no sign of the mini-con swindle and that the wing sword doesn't become part of the wing but then again that piece of the original toy was extremely fragile.
Armada Starscream was first introduction to the character, and my favorite Starscream design. So this Legacy Starscream is gonna be my list for sure. And just like the Starscream seeker mold from the past, he's going to be repainted as Thundercacker blue, purple with a new head Skywarp, and others. Hope more of the Armada Decepticons, like Demolisher, Cyclonus, Thrust, Tidal Wave, and Megatron, gets Legacy figures.
I had the original mold but thundercracker which despite the wing sword actually being kind of flimsy (you can't tell me they couldn't have made the Wing sword for the new version a little less flimsy) had a lot of play value with the minicon activating all sorts of lights and sounds and of course deploying the null laser cannons which was my favorite feature of the Armada starscream both in terms of toy and on screen as it gave him some serious firepower it made him a genuine threat

And, actually, blue color is the power-upgraded version of Armada Starscream. And on cap of that, Starscream dies in this form, with the most heroic way among all versions of him.
Amusing this is early given the Armada focus of Legacy Evo. So excited for this one, gonna look great next to Earthrise/SS Coronation Starscream and Shattered Glass Starscream.
It’s ironic that you mentioned those two specifically, because those two happen to also be two that I have and are my favorites The other two that I have are power of the primes and combiner war starscreams, and while they’re not bad, they’re very aged

I actually had the original Armada Starscream when I was little. Unfortunately I lost both of his wings. So I decided to sell it in a garage sale. Glad to see a modern remake of the toy that I once had. Can't wait to get it, myself!
"Nah, it wasn't designed for this, okay let's just forget about that," I like this PVP. A definite pickup for me! Especially if Armada Prime is a commander class. Too expensive for me. But I'm not bothered by it if I can get this.

I’m so happy this guy’s about to join my collection. The Generations Deluxe was…okay. But someone of Armada Starscream’s pedigree deserves a Voyager release. I hope they release a Thundercracker version so we can recreate Starscream’s heroic final attack.
I have another place for the weapons. There are little holes on the bottom of the folded in legs that perfectly fit the Star saber and the blade wing. Tbh it looks really cool.
Oh, yes. Snapping this guy up as soon as I see him. The old Armada Starscream figure is the only figure I have left from my childhood. My nephew also loved playing with him growing up. 😁 Also, so happy to see the wings on mushroom pegs. I feel like there's no way someone won't design an upgrade kit. Looking forward to it. 👍
5 months later and he's finally hit store shelves in my area. T-30 Starscream was one of the first figures I got when I started collecting again. Armada Starscream is one of my favorite designs, and I really liked the T30 design update. Legacy is more faithful to the original design. As far as robot mode goes, Legacy is mostly better. Articulation is better, except the knee bend isn't as deep due to the gap filler, and the feet can't move up like T30 can. However my copy's torso doesn't stay together very securely, and his hips and waist swivel are pretty loose and will need tightening. One thing T30 does to better is that the horizontal stabilizers collapsed into the shins, whereas they are fixed in place on Legacy. Regarding jet mode, I think I prefer T30. For starters, as seems to be the case with every Legacy Starscream, the legs don't really stay tabbed in. The T30 design looks sleeker, with it's stylized wings and sleeker a nose that sits more parallel with the fuselage (like an F-15), whereas Legacy's nose and cockpit sit higher up (like an Su-35M). T30 actually has a slightly greater wingspan too. Speaking of Su-35M, those "fin sections" are called canards. That Star Saber he comes with is comically small, although it looks pretty good with the smaller T30. Hasbro should make a combining Minicon Star Saber, either as a Deluxe Class priced 3 pack, or sold individually and priced like the Weapons Masters. Could even just reissue the original Minicon set, since that's hard to find and expensive these days. For now t he solution is just to get a 3P Star Saber. Overall I like him. I was really looking forward to him, but he does have some QC issues.

I actually really like this. The head pivot joint does look a bit pants, but the design and engineering on the figure actually looks fresh and interesting. I'll defo consider adding this to my collection. Cheers for the great video!
The armada line was the line I grew up with so seeing this makes me so hyped up! Starscream was one of my favorite figures so I'm so happy to see him again after all this time! I'm a little sad he doesn't have his Minicon, Swindle, but still love what they did with him!
Ah, Armada Starscream. I remember him for three things. First of all, a terrific characterization. Secondly, AMVs, particularly ones using songs by Bayformers collaborator Linkin Park (a quick RUclips search already yielded me more than a few). And finally, the PS2 Armada game I had a long time ago; I could NEVER get past this guy lol. This figure looks fun. If only I am not broke and need the money so I could eat 😂😅
I owned the original, and I got to say this is an improvement imo. I am sure there will be an upgrade kit for both the wings/swords as well as the wrists and for once I'd be willing to get it as needing an upgrade to fix what shouldn't need to be fixed usually grinds my gears. While it is cartoon accurate I'm happy to see that they gave you an option to lower that backpack flush with the back itself as it always looked awkward and made Starscream way to back heavy. Looking forward to adding him to my collection.
Oh trust me lol he's a massive improvement over the original there was no waist swivel only articulated legs knees and arms thats it legs were only articulated due to the way they folded up for transformation and his arms only went up and down his shoulders couldn't hinge at all like This release and he had a sort of backpack 3:49 the area ur finger points to in video jutted straight out and didn't collapse like this one this one is more flush
Most exciting transformers figure release for a while. This is the style of starscream I grew up with. Can't wait to see more from armada in the legacy line
i just bought this guy i love this version of star scream they got him right wish they got the prime figures right but they didn’t still hope for legacy emerging figures but updated and not clunky like the original toys and even in the show love the video
There is good about him, but I would gladly trade that dinky star Saber accessory for a Swindle Minicon. For me, most of the fun of Armada characters was that they had a little partner they could teammup with. Also LOVED collecting the 3 Bot teams,. Those were the days.
I really hope with Dr Wu or DNA Design, we get a proper star saber sword with his mini con Swindle to complete the full look. I was really hyped for this figure and can't wait to get it, it looks so good.
Hmm I still have the original star saber minicons somewhere... I wonder if he can hold them... The product shots didn't show what a nice paint & shiny plastic finish he has! Jet mode looks better in-hand too. It may be just me, but he kinda seems like they were using the model from the PS2 Armada themed video game when they designed him rather than the anime? He kept both of his wings while using the sword and had wider proportions to the lithe anime style.
At long last, my favorite character in armada is here. I am so so happy for this. I have the armada SkyWarp version with the minicon swindle. I do kinda wish the Star Saber was a bit bigger, but I am happy for it. Plus, I got what I always wanted, the Minicon Star Saber! I do hope that if we get the armada Megatron version he comes with the Requiem Blaster. As for the armada prime, I hope he comes with the Skyboom shield. Or they release some kit that has the armada Requiem Blaster and Skyboom Shield, because they are absolutely important to the story of the Unicron trilogy. Who knows, maybe we MIGHT get some new Minicons to use
I'd absolutely love an upscaled version of this engineering as a new G1 Jetfire design. He's not quite perfect but he looks so dynamic in both modes, and I think if he was bumped up to Leader and made a bit larger the minor issues could all be ironed out.
Love Armada Starscream, for now on I'm only making Legacy as my favorite TF line because of Beast Wars and the Unicron Trilogy, nothing else since Prime pretty much brought their G1 mutation stories on themselves lol.
Awe man, I am excited to get this guy! Armada starscream and prime starscream are my favourite incarnations of the character and I love the honourable warrior that armada scream is
This looks great! I am really looking forward to get this Starscream. Honestly, between all of the comparisons especially, this figure is BY FAR the best one.
I remember having the original and being disappointed with the lack of articulation on it. I know Armada was more about the mini-con action feature vs articulation - but I felt it was a little lazy of them not to provide some basics. Fast forward to Legacy and I'm a little bummed there seem to be no mini-cons. I dont need the gimmick to function but I feel this guy is missing something. I am also super sad about the lack of wrist articulation. Otherwise I really like this design. I will probably pick this up as some point.
Just picked this guy up and my god this figure is a 10/10 to me. I love this figure. If i have any complaint or nitpicks, it's just one. I wish he came with Swindle, his minicon.
Omg 🥰🥰❤🖤so on the haunt for RiseOftheBeasts Optimus prime I picked up Legacy Armada starscream today so excited ..Armada starscream was one of the original transformers I owned back in 2004
2 things that make me hesitant on buying it -No Swindle minicon to engage the canons, which in the show was the only way he could use those canons. -The wing doesn't become the sword, which in the show was the only way he could use his sword.
I like the look of this new figure alot, but the Thrilling 30 Armada G2 Starscream was pretty good as well, especially with those fluorescent orange swords, and launching shoulder missiles.
I was like 4 or 5 when Armada was airing, so I couldn’t afford any of the toys. Super glad Starscream and Hot Shot are now being released again, will for sure be getting both for nostalgia
Seeing where the arms kind of fold under the wings and how the legs can disconnect from the jet fuselage right behind the engines gives me Macross Variable Fighter flashbacks.
Duuude I remember having the original armada Starscream, one of my favorite transformer toys as a kid, and this thing while not on the same level, is still triggering my nostalgia so hard, I need to have this guy, especially for the star saber, idc if it's small, cause to be honest I don't remember it actually being very big, but yeah definitely gonna buy this guy that or Armada Optimus whenever he comes out

I'm a little bit disappointed that red bit that sticks out of his back doesn't have a Minicon port on it. I know it wouldn't have functioned but, given that the Cybertron figures were compatible with OG cyber planet keys, AND from images of Hot Shot you can see he has a port for his vehicle mode, it would have been stupidly cool to be able to use Swindle with this guy if you have him.

The last Armada figure besides from legacy Armada Starscream, was not actually from thrilling 30, I think it was in combiner wars when they made Armada Megatron, or when they made Armada Thrust in Unite Warriors. I may be wrong though. I’m not trying to be rude, I’m just being informative.
Now this is what I'm talking about when hasbro decides 2 do the damn thing they do it right even waist swivel on this guy whats not to love,the only thing missing is swindle yeah don't know how they missed that 1 but it's like u said with they had options with the minicons and they chose to go the cheap route with a painted dagger,but all in all this is a MAJOR step in the direction for hasbro, hope we get his blue repaint from The Unicron Trilogies as well and hopefully they'll give us swindle then but I doubt it
I just got into Armada recently as it was the Transformers cartoon I watched as a kid, but completely forgot about (only thing I remembered were the Minicons). Someone in a Discord server told me about these Legacy releases and it has me so excited. My wallet is less excited though.

Now THIS is what Earthrise Starscream should’ve been, not a half baked retool that leave a lot to be desired due to it’s limitations from the retooling, but a mold that was made from the ground up so it gives us what we have come to expect from Transformers figures.

prime was masively different from every other series visually. the unicron trilogy was not. your comparing apples to a nuclear bomb.

The only thing missing is that his minicon, when placed on the port on the back of the jet, kind of looked like a vertical tailfin in jet mode.

Hasbro has to do a Unicron Battles repaint and if they can't give us a better Star Saber, give us Swindle. In fact do the same thing with Hot Shot.

i just bought this guy i love this version of star scream they got him right wish they got the prime figures right but they didn’t still hope for legacy emerging figures but updated and not clunky like the original toys and even in the show love the video
The hype for the armada characters in Legacy is real for me. Definitely wanting all the ones that come out.
I cannot wait!!! Armada was my first Transformers series and Armada Starscream still holds up as one of the best characters period.
There is good about him, but I would gladly trade that dinky star Saber accessory for a Swindle Minicon. For me, most of the fun of Armada characters was that they had a little partner they could teammup with. Also LOVED collecting the 3 Bot teams,.
Those were the days.

I really hope with Dr Wu or DNA Design, we get a proper star saber sword with his mini con Swindle to complete the full look. I was really hyped for this figure and can't wait to get it, it looks so good.
Hmm I still have the original star saber minicons somewhere... I wonder if he can hold them...
The product shots didn't show what a nice paint & shiny plastic finish he has! Jet mode looks better in-hand too.
It may be just me, but he kinda seems like they were using the model from the PS2 Armada themed video game when they designed him rather than the anime? He kept both of his wings while using the sword and had wider proportions to the lithe anime style.
At long last, my favorite character in armada is here. I am so so happy for this. I have the armada SkyWarp version with the minicon swindle.
I do kinda wish the Star Saber was a bit bigger, but I am happy for it. Plus, I got what I always wanted, the Minicon Star Saber!
I do hope that if we get the armada Megatron version he comes with the Requiem Blaster. As for the armada prime, I hope he comes with the Skyboom shield.
Or they release some kit that has the armada Requiem Blaster and Skyboom Shield, because they are absolutely important to the story of the Unicron trilogy. Who knows, maybe we MIGHT get some new Minicons to use

You can use the Micromasters from "Transformers: Siege" & "Transformers: Earthrise" to use for minicons they'll work.
I'd absolutely love an upscaled version of this engineering as a new G1 Jetfire design. He's not quite perfect but he looks so dynamic in both modes, and I think if he was bumped up to Leader and made a bit larger the minor issues could all be ironed out.

Love Armada Starscream, for now on I'm only making Legacy as my favorite TF line because of Beast Wars and the Unicron Trilogy, nothing else since Prime pretty much brought their G1 mutation stories on themselves lol.
He looks awesome on the flight stand in robot mode.
I just wish they’d go ahead and bring back the Minicons. It’s cool Starscream here comes with the Starsaber but it’s also such a tease

This looks great! I am really looking forward to get this Starscream. Honestly, between all of the comparisons especially, this figure is BY FAR the best one.
I remember having the original and being disappointed with the lack of articulation on it. I know Armada was more about the mini-con action feature vs articulation - but I felt it was a little lazy of them not to provide some basics.
Fast forward to Legacy and I'm a little bummed there seem to be no mini-cons. I dont need the gimmick to function but I feel this guy is missing something.
I am also super sad about the lack of wrist articulation.
Otherwise I really like this design. I will probably pick this up as some point.

Just picked this guy up and my god this figure is a 10/10 to me. I love this figure. If i have any complaint or nitpicks, it's just one. I wish he came with Swindle, his minicon.
Omg 🥰🥰❤🖤so on the haunt for RiseOftheBeasts Optimus prime I picked up Legacy Armada starscream today so excited ..Armada starscream was one of the original transformers I owned back in 2004
2 things that make me hesitant on buying it
-No Swindle minicon to engage the canons, which in the show was the only way he could use those canons.
-The wing doesn't become the sword, which in the show was the only way he could use his sword.
I like the look of this new figure alot, but the Thrilling 30 Armada G2 Starscream was pretty good as well, especially with those fluorescent orange swords, and launching shoulder missiles.
I was like 4 or 5 when Armada was airing, so I couldn’t afford any of the toys. Super glad Starscream and Hot Shot are now being released again, will for sure be getting both for nostalgia
I got the original for Christmas as a child, and wow these updates were gorgeous.
Seeing where the arms kind of fold under the wings and how the legs can disconnect from the jet fuselage right behind the engines gives me Macross Variable Fighter flashbacks.
Duuude I remember having the original armada Starscream, one of my favorite transformer toys as a kid, and this thing while not on the same level, is still triggering my nostalgia so hard, I need to have this guy, especially for the star saber, idc if it's small, cause to be honest I don't remember it actually being very big, but yeah definitely gonna buy this guy that or Armada Optimus whenever he comes out
For sure the swords are small the star saver is about 30 % too small in size and length as for Starscreams wing sword it should be about 50% bigger

I do wish it came with Swindle, but otherwise an excellent rendition of Armada’s tragic hero.
Nice looking voyager, and Scraphook getting blown to bits was a nice touch.
They have done really well I pray and hope we see a Titan or commander class tidal wave though.
I'm a little bit disappointed that red bit that sticks out of his back doesn't have a Minicon port on it. I know it wouldn't have functioned but, given that the Cybertron figures were compatible with OG cyber planet keys, AND from images of Hot Shot you can see he has a port for his vehicle mode, it would have been stupidly cool to be able to use Swindle with this guy if you have him.

The last Armada figure besides from legacy Armada Starscream, was not actually from thrilling 30, I think it was in combiner wars when they made Armada Megatron, or when they made Armada Thrust in Unite Warriors. I may be wrong though. I’m not trying to be rude, I’m just being informative.

Now this is what I'm talking about when hasbro decides 2 do the damn thing they do it right even waist swivel on this guy whats not to love,the only thing missing is swindle yeah don't know how they missed that 1 but it's like u said with they had options with the minicons and they chose to go the cheap route with a painted dagger,but all in all this is a MAJOR step in the direction for hasbro, hope we get his blue repaint from The Unicron Trilogies as well and hopefully they'll give us swindle then but I doubt it
I just got into Armada recently as it was the Transformers cartoon I watched as a kid, but completely forgot about (only thing I remembered were the Minicons). Someone in a Discord server told me about these Legacy releases and it has me so excited.
My wallet is less excited though.

For any Robotech/Macross fans, you can put this figure into a Gerwalk/Guardian mode which is pretty cool.
Now THIS is what Earthrise Starscream should’ve been, not a half baked retool that leave a lot to be desired due to it’s limitations from the retooling, but a mold that was made from the ground up so it gives us what we have come to expect from Transformers figures.
