At 38:00 Mike's 5 would be the highest and lowest as the 6 doesn't count because that player was eliminated (but it would still be placed). So he would be able to eliminate Tom and win that round. Enjoyed the video :)
That was very entertaining to watch! Yet there was one huge mistake that changed the course of the entire game: At 36:56 Tom kills Roy to prevent him from earning two points for winning a round as shaman by playing off suit. As stated in the rules Roy’s card still goes next to the according world but is ignored when determining which player played the lowest/highest card of the leading suit. This left Mike as the only player who played the leading suit - therefore he played the lowest and the highest card of the leading colour at the same time which means he may not only draw an artefact but he is also the one who triggers the ritual. This would have allowed him to kill Tom so that no one would’ve earned points that round.
I hope this comes to Canada, looks so much fun! Loved the banter as usual.
Every time I watch a Dice Tower play through, I ask myself ‘is this actually at good game, or are these guys just a blast to play with?’ I know the latter to be true, which always makes me question the game even more than before I watched the video!
I liked that you guys talked a bit about the game at the end of your play through. I know they are 1st impressions but I hope you guys keep that goin 🙌🏽
I'm hoping to play this game again this weekend! Great opportunities for twists and dramatic plays.
I can see this game done with a Star Wars re-theme, Jedi v Sith, Light v Dark. Call it Star Wars: Balance.
I was interested when I heard the concept and man this looks REALLY good!
So happy you like it ! 😍 Tom, Mike and Roy really did the game some honor !
I like the semi coop nature of the game. You are in a team but sometimes it is beneficial to kill people on same side !
Absolutely ! It's even in your best interest to be the only one in your team scoring, but be careful not to straight up lose the round trying to backstab your ally ! 😁 😱
Not the kind of game that I usually play but it does seem fun! Really fun to watch you play it too.
Definitely a blast watching them play it ! Tom, Mike and Roy really did the game some honor ! 🤩
Best moment of this video 49:11 : it's a dagger!
Loved watching this playthrough, well done guys
It was such a blast watching this ! Tom, Mike and Roy really did the game some honor !
43:00 tom played the lowest yellow card, took a token and led the following trick, it was supposed to be Mike's turn.
Hate that I had to miss this but love that I get to watch it now!
It was fun live, lemme tell you that ! But it's great on replay, too ! 😇
I knew Mike was old, but not "from the dawn of time" old.
Hahaha it took Shamans for this great revelation to come to light !
@Hiedi Azzarito - Hey, RUclips! These two are spammers that follow me around on every comment that I make.
31:43 - The odds are ...
It's only 1/3 chance of being Tom. Despite our human brain's concept of "fair" randomness, the universe doesn't care.
Every die roll, card shuffle, coin flip... exactly the same odds it was the first time.
This does seem to be an awesome game.
Oh, I know that but it's fun to argue otherwise.
Hahaha great one, the banter between the crew is the best ! So glad you like the game !
Gotta admit, the play if this game is a lot better than it's description would make it seem. I think I would be interested in this if I had groups that were interested in hidden role games.
Very cool design!
Thanks for the kind words ! It's Lewis & Clark designe Cedrick Chaboussit ! The mechanics are definitely very intricate and unique 😃
@@studiohgames5436 The art is fantastic for this game. I kinda of wish the point tracker was a bit fancier, perhaps something like the an animal totem, but that's my only nitpick regarding the art.
This kind of reminds me of the game Nevermore but with hidden roles, which is a good thing.
My copy arrived today and I haven’t played it yet. I wonder whether you really need to like hidden role games to like this game. It seems like it’s really a free for all with temporary alliances, much like dozens of other games. And even within that space, it feels to me to be much more of a Hellapagos than a Night of the Ninja; kill your teammates if needed to get the optimal point distribution.
So fun to watch, sorry I could not be in the livechat !
It would have been great having you on ! Tom and the crew are very entertaining indeed !
Roy was definitely lying lol, I can see his yellow card.
Is there some rules video to watch before this? I never played this game before and watching this video it seems a lot of rules explanation is missing...
Is this coming out in the USA soon?
It's been released around 10 days ago 😇 it should be available at your LGS or online =)
I slowed the speed down to .75x in order to catch on to the rules. Now, Tom sounds quite drunk.
Looks like kind of a blast, but I’m concerned because you spend much of your time trying to understand the rules and what plays will result in what results.
