- So almost instantly after the GTA 5 Update this week, Rockstar had a huge problem regarding modders in GTA Online, what happened to these players was not a glitch. GTA Online had a big exploit on PC that involves the Diamond Casino Heist, this meant hackers could use a mod menu to corrupt your account and that was a big problem for players, this also meant their GTA 5 Online account being banned was a lot more likely. This GTA Online PC exploit needs to be fixed soon, Rockstar Games has acknowledged the modders situation, they have completely disabled the casino heist in GTA 5 Online and they are releasing an update to fix this. Hopefully this will stop the hackers. Hopefully this GTA 5 Update fixes this mess completely. If you're wondering why you cant play the casino heist in GTA right now or why nothing in you arcade including the casino heist is not working, this is why.

@@mattw8910 if your on console close your app when you see the yellow saving circle while the car is driving into your salvage yard it will keep the car and let you do the mission again on pc same thing just close with task manager

This is why R* doesn't want to put GTA 6 out on PC. Modders did the same thing to RDR2. PC modders are ruining it for the legit PC players.
Doesn't help that Rockstar has little to no security to protect the game from them and also I would call them cheaters rather than modders.
They really need to perfect GTA 6 on PC this time, they messed up the online experience for GTA 5 on PC
Rockstar can not afford not putting it onto pc since PC is the best selling platform. They would have sold 50mio copies less if they hadn`t put Gta5 on pc, that`s like over a billion dollar in revenue just being lost. That said I wouldn`t care if they even release Gta6 or not, kinda done with Rockstar games.
I mean these Over accessing PC modders sound like they push the limits on the content Rockstar creates cause back in the day when GTA San Andreas and GTA IV came out during that era PC modders could over succeed mods and San Andreas is still till today has the most Mods and Menu cheats everything when Leslie Benzies was in the studio now that he’s gone and Dan Houser Rockstar and Take Two are being a Bunch of B***es about GTA Online for content!!
R* got me in a bind, unless i buy a new ps2 so i can play the og gtas, or my 360 to play 4, my definitive edition is broken on my pc, modders took me down to lvl 1 from lvl 666, so if i wanna play gta, i basically can play 360 or gtao on pc.

Bro, there's multiple games who exist for more than a decade and constantly updated, upgraded all that for free.
There's many games but ones that comes into my mind right know is ETS2.
How many smaller games have different clients for modded and official servers? Is is so hard for multi-billion bloated corporation to do something like that and cut the modding out of the public sessions completely?! Those greedy suits are beyond disgusting and honestly wasteful, as this game can still be profitable.

I no longer go online to find friends, I only play with friends I have in closed friend sessions. Every single lobby I enter has players with 8000 ormore levels, and usually only 25% or less of them are nice.

Well, no, it shouldn't - but in their defence GTA V is an insanely complicated game, and an old one to boot; it's been worked on by a large team of developers for 11 years since it was released! If that bug has been in there since the Diamond casino was released, then it's been there for five years and not been spotted.
I will give a big "Excellent!" to Rock* for their timely and safety conscious response to the problem: it may seem draconian but shutting down the heist really is the best thing to do as it gives them a safe space to work on developing and testing a proper solution which could easily be nightmare to design, fix, and test before release. And while that happens nobody gets screwed over by assholes.
The temptation is always to get a fix out quickly but that compromises quality, and don't forget that the same vulnerability may well exist in GTA VI code (we developers just love to recycle code that "works") so a quick fix could rear its ugly head next week in GTA V or in two years when GTA VI is just getting really busy and a shutdown costs the company reputation.
Real glad I dont have a PC strong enough (or with enough memory) to play this
And on top of this major vulnerability that was not updated since a week now, now mod devs added a new RCE just announced by Tez2 recently.
Congrats Rockstar for your ever lasting dedication to helping support PC players to this very day. (sarcastic clapping intensifies...)
This problem isn't just on PC it's also on xbox x I was playing in a public lobby and a Christmas tree just appeared in the Lsc parking lot and everyone in another lobby kept getting blown up I have got video clips that I'm waiting to find out how to send them to Rockstar and Microsoft
I'm gonna wait for GTA 6 online gameplay to come out before buying the game. If the game has a bad anti-cheat system on pc, I'll be getting it on console because I'd rather have an enjoyable experience over good graphics.

Rockstar does not care about PC. They never did. The game's been this way since its release. I remember the "good" ol' days that script kids could put a billion dollar bounty on ur head, or just spam Mors Mutual claims on ur ass until u couldn't even buy snacks. Not to mention sending u to Bad Sport sessions for a billion years. I had my hopes that one day they would add E&E for PC, and actually improve a lot of things as a bonus for delaying it on it, but that was a stupid dream. They never will.
This is why I’m not going to buy GTA VI for the PC version and I just bought a Gaming PC I’m gonna Download GTA San Andreas (Stars and Stripes) Map Mode so I can have a whole United States 🇺🇸 map of every GTA titled map from 3 to Vice City to San Andreas but with more in between scale of new Towns in the 3D World and there’s Modding community that is going to plan making content to do more in between the whole Gigantic USA map! Because ever since Leslie Benzies left the studios GTA V online has gone to crap 💩 oh and Dan Houser leaving as well kind of ruined it too!!
I lost my original 2013 to 2021 account deleted, it wasn't like this but it still breaks my heart since all the progress and memories and shit.
Basically had a disagreenent with a "Friend" at university we used to game everyweekened and the bastard threatened me in a "Jokey" way with an item I was allergic to and well I told the senior support cause it didn't feel like a joke and the cunt got removed but he also decided to brute force his way onto my xbox account and deleted my Gta character.
I had multiple conversations with a R* Customer support rep and to no evail.
Really fucked me up but hey good thing I ain't played GTA since then, still like watching these videos tho

never. They probably disabled it to prevent being liable for damages. But they wont spent any money on a years old update having this much of an issue. Its not a simple thing to fix and would require a ton of rework. So they probably just let it rot.

This isn't a problem with RockStar, its a problem with PCs. And that is purely the fault of Microsoft and their wanting to have ways to keep control.....and this of course lets OTHERS in to take control too! Microsoft are perfectly aware of this and release regular updates to try to fix it, but in the end it means PCS are vulnerable to this sort of thing and to viruses etc.

I'm very curious to know how an exploit for a game can give trojan like access to users' PCs.. keep claiming this, but I have to believe that this claim is coming from people that tried downloading and using an infected mod menu but don't discuss that because the mod menu never worked for them, so they don't consider themselves as having used it.. but the exe just needs to run once to apply a windows infection that these players are being affected by..
Not denying the loss of money and bad sport exploit that R* confirmed and took the heist away for.. I'm just not buying that a mod menu to use game files is capable of rending a localized screenshot as the victim's desktop.. opening .exe files from the %windir%\system32 folder is child's play.. the only thing concerning about that is the fact that your system has been compromised.. if a hacker is opening calc to let you know of their presence, they're probably some dumb kids messing around.. a real hacker would get in and out without you knowing they were there..

How tf does a company as big as rockstar allow remote code execution to exist in producitons/release code‽ Seriously, do they have *zero* security testers‽ Especially after the commotion when darksouls had it, and probably some other games aswell.
