This was quite possibly one of the most effective glitches ever, most simple one ever and you'd see entire lobby's doing this, a time when the community was united and wasn't filled with tryhards, was peaceful. Good Times.
Yeah I remember this glitch. It happened in 2019. I did it for about 4 days. I’d leave my console on while I went to sleep or while I went to school and come back to find tens of millions of dollars in my account. I immediately bought all I could: super cars, armored vehicles, planes/helicopters, every single business in the game, properties, and much more. I decided I’d do the glitch one last time by saving up as much money as I could before returning to playing the game regularly. I reached about $125 million before I decided to stop. Then a few days later, I get the notification by many RUclipsrs saying that Rockstar had begun wiping and banning accounts who had been doing the glitch. When I got home, I got a green screen saying that my account had been suspected of getting money illegitimately. Once I loaded into Online, I had gotten a black screen saying Rockstar Games had adjusted my money, and all I was left with was $50k. I still consider myself lucky though, because even though I lost all the money, I wasn’t banned or suspended. I immediately ran to see if I still had my cars and other vehicles in the garages I bought, and yes, they were there, including every single property/business I bought. 3 years later and I’ve obtained almost $200 million legitimately, and I don’t regret having been part of the glitch
I absolutely love how smart the glitching community is. How they even found this to begin with, and how they outsmart rockstar time and again at every corner is just amazing. I made most of my money and own everything thanks to money glitches and now I make money legitimately for fun rather than a grind and I regret none of it.
the most insane money glitch was the freeze casino chips glitch, you could get like a billion dollars in less than an hour depending on the amount of chips you had on you.
The craziest glitch in GTA was definitely the DNS code glitch back in December 2013. A single bounty would be hundreds of millions of dollars and simply losing the cops would give you 70+ levels.

hearing this was in 2019 feels so surreal, I quite simply remember everyone and their mom being in passive at the hanger where every lobby there was at least 8 people and most I saw was about 19 but that’s every single lobby at the time. never seen the community more united aside to maybe the alien war but that got cringe fast when people took out guns or made like 20 other factions and such
Beautiful recap of one of the greatest moments in GTA Online History. A time of peace, prosperity and abundance. It's how I discovered this channel. I invested the bulk of my money into properties, businesses and upgrades, and expensive vehicles so when the money wipe hit they only took back 17mil. I'd not long started playing GTA Online on PS4 so that glitch saved me alot of grinding and catching up. God Bless the Obese Giraffe, he's welcome on my yacht anytime.

This glitch made me be able to afford the ability to make legit money, this glitch saved me months of grinding and gave me a headstart to be able to do fun stuff. This glitch is for the books and I will forever be happy I did it. I ended up just using the money to invest in shit instead of laundering it.
I remember that. I took it one step further. (can't remember if I thought of it or read about it.) I took all of that money and bought vigilantes and filled all garages. Then, when the inevitable money wipe came, all of that money was safe as it had been laundered. Was a cool glitch. I made a secondary character just for this glitch too, bought and filled all of those garages as well. Haha.
