Turntable appears to be a SLIDEtable or straight a DRAWER instead - I've never seen such a nice design before !

It is a traverser - a sideways-moving platform for transferring a locomotive / coach / wagon from one set of rails to another. Still used in most locomotive works today.

Hi, I am planning to model this railway station... I know where the turn table is situated, but I have not figured out where the traverser would go. Do you know where I should find it on the map of the area?

It's at the Railway Workshop about a mile away from the station.

Wot no comments. That can't be right. I would have thought the appalling wind noise merited a mention. You need an external mic with a wind sock. I recommend the Zoom H2N. Congrats on getting more than 1,000 views on two of you videos BTW.
