That bracket is such an extreme stupid and greedy design. Basically Acura tried to make a few bucks by selling that bracket every time you remove the mirror. They could have made a screw instead to screw from outside to the base. Best if you bend and test the bracket on the base before installing.
So I just replaced 2001 CL rear view mirror and everything was fine until I remounted the mirror and it wouldn't secure. It's all wiggly. I took the brack from the old mirror assembly and installed it in the new mirror but it's still loose. I going to try Ali solution below. It seems like it should work.
How do you get the metal button off the rearview? I tried pressing the lever down but I think the metal button is stuck to the mirror... Any ideas? Thank you.
Thanks man all I did was just bend the two clip holders towards the center and it held on tight again. No need for a new piece
Just what I needed! My shit just be shakin'.....having to push it in to keep it from shaking while drivin' 70-80mph on the highway is no damn fun...🤣😂
Thanks man! I was panicking for a sec hahahaha but it was easy easy fix
Thanks Antonio, I am having this issue with my 2005 Acura RL and the part looks exactly the same as the one you showed! I'll try replacing the part
This is the most annoying thing .. thanks so much my man!!

@@Nino_J I would go to a local Acura dealer and they will do it for you bro
@@Nino_J cause it shouldn't with a new one
I’m still confused
