Probably not bc a 2 week old baby can’t see a person’s face well enough to “study” it or memorize it. Not at least in the way you’re describing it. They primarily only see things that are black, white, and red at that age. They aren’t able to truly see someone’s face for the way it truly looks until they are a few months old. They will recognize the person’s voice and smell though, and are extremely accurate in identifying people with those 2 senses.
My granddaughter examined my face just as minutely, when she was just two and a half hours old . I was fascinated by how all the brain synapses were connecting so rapidly. She is now seven and extremely intelligent. It is always wonderful to see babies making such intense connections so early!
I’m amazed at how intently Gus is looking at his dad. I’ve never seen a baby so young do this. His eyes are going side to side he’s not just looking or staring he’s relating the voice w/ the face. Amazing video thanks for sharing. I just lost my precious dog yesterday & this video has blessed me to c a precious life & one that is connecting w/ his father. 🙏🏼🫶

You’re so right-that bond is important. My mother left the state with another guy when I was tiny. My father was a violent alcoholic that only cared about himself. I was shuffled off to a relative that turned out to be extremely abusive & resentful of my presence. I grew up with very low self worth & was very suicidal for many years. I became a very devoted mother & adored my children. I learned to lean on God-He was the only one listening. I am a strong very independent person today because of Him.
