I love and miss this show so much. It is my favourite ever and just so magical!! I hope if Wizard Of Oz returns to the UK stage, they make another one!
Amy: Definitely not Dorothy but still good. She had more of a pop voice than a stage voice though. She's done more modelling than acting, but I could see her in something like Legally Blonde or Hairspray. She could be Marty or even Sandy in Grease, or maybe even Maureen in Rent? Sventla in Chess? Bronte: Her performances were decent, and I would've liked to see her go further, as she seemed like a pretty strong contender. She would have made a very cute Dorothy. She played Fiona in Shrek last year, but I could see her possibly as Jan or Frenchie in Grease. She seemed more of an ensemble than leading role to me. Dani: Didn't really stick out that much, but I liked her "Home". She does more radio than acting now, but maybe she could have been in something. I'm not sure what. She never seemed that adaptable to me. Emilie: Seemed to be a bit too self assured and her voice was slightly uncomfortable in the lower register. I've heard she was very good as Cosette in Les Miserables, so she's probably more of a classic soprano. Stephanie: She had two good performances, the rest decent. She doesn't really do any stage acting now, but I could see her in something pop-ish like Grease or Hairspray. Maybe she could be Mimi in Rent or Sophie in Mamma Mia Jenny: She was very witty, and I liked her "So What". I heard she was very good as Meat in We Will Rock You, but I could see her as one of the leads in Chess or one of the Pink Ladies in Grease or something like that. Jessica: Was a better dancer than singer in my opinion. I could see her in something like Cabaret or Chicago Steph: One of my favourites. She had acting, singing and dancing nailed in my opinion. She could defiantly have been Dorothy. I could see her as Mimi in Rent or Maria in West Side Story, or even Cosette? The Narrator in Joseph? Lorrell in Dreamgirls? Nabulungi in The Book of Mormon? Lauren: My other favourite. Her voice was phenomenal, and her acting was very good too. I've heard she was good as Sandy in Grease, but I could picture her more as Rizzo. I could see her as Fantine in Les Mis or Nancy in Oliver, maybe even Elphaba? Ellen in Miss Saigon? Sophie: I would've preferred if Lauren or Steph had gotten further than she had, but she was still good, and made a great Dorothy. I saw her as Glinda in Wicked and she was very good, but better as gAlinda rather than Glinda. She could definitely be Sandy in Grease or even Cosette in Les Mis? Danielle: Definitely Dorothy, without a doubt. She's been in lots of other stuff, but I'd love to see her as Nancy in Oliver.
Love how, in pretty much every video, Steph is always near/at the front... taking advantage of previous dance experience much? She should have beaten Sophie at least :)
I was so glad that Jodie won this, aka Glenda Shuttleworth in Corrie, she's hot and gorgeous, and she's a great singer! Some of the others were very attractive and great singers don't get me wrong, but she was the best.
@Tucker,Fearn and Bentley’s Angel Forever Danielle has worked pretty much consistently since finshing Oz. Les Mis, Sound of Music, Grease, Rock of Ages, a few pantos and more.
The moment where the finalists comes down on the swings makes me so happy for some reason
