DJI Mini 4K Flew in a Hilly/Woody Area and also Low Flying Test

Finally got a chance to compile the second test flight of my DJI Mini 4K. I am living in a slightly hilly area surrounded by forests. One of the toughest control/video transmission route is at a corner of my neighborhood which is about 1.5km from my house. It is tough because (1) that corner has a slight elevation and (2) trees and forests are there between my house and the corner. Except for the very best setup, few drones can reach that far.
In an earlier test along a relatively flat area without many tall trees, this DJI Mini 4K reached 2.9km, almost doubled what I got in this test. Recorded video is here: • DJI Mini 4K Exploratio...
Because this Mini 4K has no obstruction avoidance, it can fly low without being warned. Of course, one has to be very careful.
IMO, if you don't need WayPoint and Visual Tracking (i.e., Follow me), this Mini 4K flies very well, has a much better transmission/penetration capability, more predictable flying characteristics, and, of course, better 4K video/image quality. On the other hand, if you are budget sensitive, the Potensic ATOM can be very appealing.
