  • Hey everyone! I'm starting my new RUclips channel with the goal to share my journey to threepeat at the 2024 Olympics. I also want to share my knowledge of strength training, track and field, and the outdoors.
    Let me know in the comments what you would like to see more of.
    (Sorry I have no video editing experience and I am learning as I go)

    Hey Ryan, specific question, I noticed your Bench Press post, when you were were reading 400 for measured speed reps, what is the determining factor of when to perform those reps as opposed to higher weight for less reps. When do you perform these reps, in your training cycle? And of course all the Bass fishing tips you can pass along..... keep training Wisely, you are a great example for all the people out their, thanks for sharing your life with others!

    • @RyanCrouser23
      @RyanCrouser23  2 года назад +2

      So the short answer is usually I’m working on speed In the 70% or less of 1rm range on weight and working on max speed so usually 2 or 3 reps is when I hit peak speed. I usually implement this after a strength block when I feel like my top end strength numbers are there but the functionality/speed has not caught up yet. Speed training also has benefits In terms of injury prevention, which is another reason to do it even if an athlete doesn’t respond especially well to it. That’s the short answer hopefully I’ll do a longer answer in a full speed training video.

    I’d love to see some unconventional throws, ultra heavy weight or light weight and different styles. All of the shot put videos that are intended to be watched by non throwers always say that the shot is as heavy as a bowling ball, so maybe throw a bowling ball, but probably need a Rodhe* Glove for that
