Absolutely true! Got both my knee open for ACL reconstruction, even an regar click on my knee still worrying me a lot, not mention running or playing football, for me, adios my sports 😢
@@9547-s8o I did too in the 14th. I used the hamstring graft, and meniscus fix. Of course nothing like the first week and even the first 3 days was soo painful. I reduced my swelling and my pain. After a week and a half I stop my pain killer. I do a lot of massage and physical therapy, I think maybe on next 2-3 week I feel like I would be able to walk. @@9547-s8o I forgot, my surgeon said I need to try keep my leg straight to not cause other problems, and strange thing that happened to me is part of my calve I don’t feel it. The surgeon said it will pass
The brain is doing that for a reason. Be arsenal it doesn't want to go through the insane trauma and depression of acl surgery again Think of it as a blessing that you can still walk and run.
not surprised to hear this at all after tearing my acl 18yrs ago and recently tearing it completely…i know i’m not moving like i did…it’s about preservation now
Our Native ACL has spatial awareness cells while the graft placed has none, after surgery Our Brain has to make up for that extra info by itself. Unfortunately learnt this when my ACL was gone. 😅
Four months post ACL/meniscus surgery, I'm still swollen and my knee is popping, but I am very active and work out daily, so I may be overdoing it. A high quality compression sock (foot to upper thigh) minimizes the issues almost completely and I walk and even jog with confidence. But the fear or reinjury is persistent, so it will be interesting to see what my brain allows me to do five or six months from now when I return to ultimate frisbee.
I had acl surgery in 2018. But rehabilitation had not done well. Still I feel pain in under that left knee in-side. I can’t do sports as previous. Can I have recovery actions for this post surgery situation? Please help
For me I understand it pretty damn well. Some piece of sh*t just happen to run directly into my damn knee so it twist and boom acl tear. F him. I hated him so much I just wanna kill him. He ruined my career
I had a complete reconstruction and I was able to walk without crotches after 5 days, after 1.5 week I could walk pretty normally and now 3.5 weeks in I can ride a bicycle aswell
God damn this make sense, didnt get knee surgery but my knees hurt occasionally which makes me ultra aware of my movement, which makes walking a task.

Has this feeling changed since today? I would appreciate your reply, as someone who's having ACL reconstruction next week

Mind over matter
Hi sir I had ACL surgery before 2 months , I'm professional badminton player , can I start badminton compitition after 2 months
2 months. no
For professional athletes, the minimum post op recovery time is 9 months. If you return before that, your probability of a new tear increases a lot.
And you should. ACLs are precious and must be protected. Most people recklessly abandon their ACL’s because they don’t place value on them
We don't understand the value of things until they are gone...

On the contrary, thanks to these studies, now rehab has been updated and they encourage you to not rely on your vision that much.
