These round tables and athlete interviews have been excellent and we as fans really appreciate the extra effort. To the whole crew at SMOE/Shaw Classic, THANK YOU
As Brian said, “The Shaw Classic and SMOE is not a massive organization.” I’d personally like to add the word “yet.” Everyone who has seen this product knows how good it is and where it’s going.
To be fair to WSM, they've had decades of funding and media sponsorships and contracts to build their status and position. Brian's only been doing this for what, less than 5 years and it's already at this level? As you said, I would say yet as well. I can easily see this topping WSM as far as prize money, sponsorships, etc. in another 5 years or even less. The next level is taking it out of CO and attracting nationwide sponsors.
@@AoE2Replays There is no need to badmouth WSM et al. They have been professionalising a lot over the last decade. Imagine saying 10 years ago they'd be selling out 10,000 seat arenas, nobody would have believed you. Don't talk up SMOE by putting WSM down, just enjoy there will be more competition and ALL will improve.
Take notes worlds. Having these type of discussions and interviews are a great way to hype up a show. Problem with worlds will always be not being on live broadcast
Brian, can you have a round table discussion amongst you four and discuss what a strength event is and how you guys would characterize a proper event and compare and contrast that to the WSM/Giants/Arnold/Rogue. Could you guys also discuss how you would like to see a proper season of strongman where the athletes safety and health is taken into consideration as well as crowning a champion. Might also want to flesh out where world records could be placed and what prize money should be the standard. The evolution of strength sports is here. Lead the way.
I think Loz nailed it. In other competitions, even not that long ago, so many attendees were there for the "circus freak" kind of show, whereas the Shaw Classic and SMOE is drawing in true fans of the sport and those that want to support their favorite, because they have a deeper understanding of the sport and the people competing. And what Brian is doing, not just the promotion and social media, but also the sport science and precision of manufacture and the calibration of the implements and showing all of that, not just saying "meh, good enough" and then hiding behind "trade secrets" or whatever.
Just bought my ticket to the live stream. Not even sure I can watch it live but you guys have given me so much joy over the years that I felt obligated to support this in some way. Thank you for putting the together Brain & everyone involved .
Best content about the best competition of the year. Funniest thing through these discussions has been Terry and Jerry starting to talk at the same time and Jerry always being the one who stops😂
Let's get behind the show . Help them build the prize money so the athletes will have a great payday. They deserve every penny for as hard as they work ❤
This series was so great I know it might be asking for alot but a roundup/breakdown of each day of competition with you guys would be amazing after each day of comp
These roundtables and athlete interviews make me wish I was there this year, but it has made me determined to go next year. My picks, Evan, Tom, Thor, Mitch and Maxime for the top 5. Not sure the order. Would love to see Evan win, then again I want Thor to win. Shit, I want them all to win. That can't happen so I'll go with the best man wins and no injuries.
Smoe is the best. I think it could be better with the addition of steel bending. I’d argue it’s a different strength that is currently not tested. I think if you got with expert like say Dennis Roger’s you might be able to figure out how to do it without risking injury.
I can’t wait to see if Trey can win this show and continue the streak of only having Brian or Trey winning. It’s gonna be a great show and I think you really can’t predict the winner of this show. It’s gonna be a nail bitter till the end.
I give it about 5 years until trans women try to ruin this sport for real women also. We must protect this incredible sport we have and keep it free from corruption! God bless you Brian for everything you've done!
@a5noble2 ? But the price is $25 now? Why do a random ass hypothetical when we got a set price. There's hardly any money in strongman so supporting them is an important way to grow the sport. Either you pay for it or you can't.
dana white. ufc was a circus sideshow. reminds me of another sport. dana white turned the ufc into multi billion dollar sport. brian you are dana fn white of strongman. shaw classic 2028 is in dallas cowboys stadium.
They had standing chest press last year! They are testing basically all strongman movements. You'd need WAY more than 8 events to test every facet of strength in sports, and that is just unreasonable. Strongman is fun because events keep changing. I think 8 is the perfect amount to find who is the strongest, and still have different event's each year.

THANK YOU FOR THE SUPPORT!
Thank you team for all those roundtable discussions and interviews the hype is real can't wait to see who's crowned SMOE! Let's go!!
going to predictg Tom Stoltman as Sahws obviously retired..... going to be a great show regardless
@@user-strength10 i still have faith Hafthor can win it Koma svo
Love these roundtable talks, and I am incredibly glad Loz will finally be a part of it. The knowledge from these 4 is incredible.

I sincerely hope they eclipse the dinosaurs at WSM

These discussions have been fantastic, could listen to them for hours 💪 would love to see a Shaw Strength Podcast episode with the four of you
Post comp with a full comp de-brief would be an awesome listen.

Wsm is long in the past. No longer is it the strongest nor do they care about fans.
Shaw and arnold all the way!
@@BuffPomsky yeah you're right it was like 3 months ago
The hype is so real!! Only a few days to go AND I CANT WAIT!!! 🔥🔥🔥
This is the most excited I have ever been for a strongman event. Can't wait to watch!
I don't know how it works, but I'll figure out the Livestream. One day, I hope to be present. Thanks Brian. You are Great!

Koma Svo Hafthor, let's do this event also to the very best of your ability! ❤
These videos are both epic, AND driving me INSANE!!!!!! This weekend can't get here fast enough!
My favourite event.
I am learning a lot about Aivars. He is keeping the Baltics alive since a lot of Baltic strongmen are retired now.

Wish I could be there it's going to be insane! Watch the livestream while working instead. LFG!!
thanks a ton for giving us these insights and interviews, Brian your content to us fans on the side looking for that bit more is very much appreciated

I CAN’T WAIT!
Can't wait wish i could be there but got the ppv good luck everyone
Not long now👏👏
I love this team discussion. I love seeing Uncle Loz chopping it up with Brian
Interesting selection of weights.
Great video, thank you all 💪🏻😎
Can't wait SMOE
This series was so great I know it might be asking for alot but a roundup/breakdown of each day of competition with you guys would be amazing after each day of comp
Bought the PPV ready for this weekend
Great video!
It's going to be the best show of the year
How does Terry Hollands not have a movie career?
These talks need to happen at more comps.
im buying that PPV!!! Wooooo
It Uncle Loz and Auntie Liz going to be part of your commentary team because they need to be???
I like Liz’s behind the scenes vids. As she knows all the chaps, their conversations with her are very natural.
I believe Loz has been hired for commentary
If you buy the livestream but can’t watch it live, is there still a replay video to have access to?

These three need to be commentators and part of SMOE for ever!!!
They will all be there as part of the cast, not sure who exactly is doing commentary though. Im hoping for a bit of a rotating cast to keep it fresh
I buy the PPV even if don't watch it immediately. Unfortunately the event was spoiled twice by youtube! before i got around to watching it. 😂😂
Just a few days away now. The hype is very real.
Can't wait 💪💪
YES!!!!!
LFG Guys 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻
Digging this series B!
I'd be curious to hear all the guys' thoughts on what they consider is the ultimate event to show true strength. Is it the deadlift? Axle?
What are the weights for the two Fingers this time? How heavier will they be from last year?
Loz looks hungry.
I hope you took enough breaks when filming this! :D
jerry pritchett and terry hollands be like 🗿 🤣🤣
question, what happens if there is a tie in points at the end of the competition? How would a winner be determined?
Countback
The only thing I think we should add, is that by allowing unknowns to compete, we get athletes like from WSM like Hooper, Hoath, Wes, Ragg, etc.
Smoe is the best. I think it could be better with the addition of steel bending. I’d argue it’s a different strength that is currently not tested. I think if you got with expert like say Dennis Roger’s you might be able to figure out how to do it without risking injury.
I think there is enough events and points available for Maxine to make the podium regardless of the max deadlift
I can’t wait to see if Trey can win this show and continue the streak of only having Brian or Trey winning. It’s gonna be a great show and I think you really can’t predict the winner of this show. It’s gonna be a nail bitter till the end.
They dont need the same event every year thats what brian is trying to do it will probably be in next years show
❤
WHERE'S EDDIE?!
Tom, Evan and Aivars are best at this event currently but see how Thor goes since he wont be full strength yet
He'll be at full strength when he goes back in time 6 years...dont see it
I give it about 5 years until trans women try to ruin this sport for real women also. We must protect this incredible sport we have and keep it free from corruption! God bless you Brian for everything you've done!
*chest press, but yea, it does have issues lol
It has one million views on his page now. Itll be back. Lol
Chest press was great
Great, excited to watch the show! Wait what? $25 for the PPV? Maybe you shouldn't do custom machines for every single event...
Come On Mate $25 Is Fine
Bruh is acting like $25 is a whole paycheck 💀 gotta support the athletes bruh
$25 for an entire weekend worth of shows is NOTHING compared to a single 2 hour movie at the theater.
Fuck it, just charge $50 then. Its only another $25 after all. At some point the price will be an issue for everyone.
@a5noble2 ? But the price is $25 now? Why do a random ass hypothetical when we got a set price. There's hardly any money in strongman so supporting them is an important way to grow the sport. Either you pay for it or you can't.

Tired of the novikov hype, it’s not 2021. He hasn’t performed well in years. These younger guys are about to shine
@ 8:43 "everythings getting tested, you cant have a weakness and win this show"....so...where is the Bench Press then?
Chest press is a gym lift, has never featured heavily in Strongman and rightly so imo.
Ya, I guess these guys must all be terrible benchers 😂😂😲
It's strong man not powerlifting
