Haven't had a buzz from an oils track like this in a long, long time. Goosebumps. Ventoura's style takes me back to the Giffo era. Tenor sax - fantastic addition.

I love this but Gadigal Land really blew me away, too.
Ah, that's a baritone! I love some bari sax. Like Morphine, Fishbone, or Gerry Mulligan...hits down deep and gives it even more oomph.

I still can’t believe how good this record and all of their shows since the reunion were. I’ve seen many 70’s and 80’s bands being washed out but they’re still exactly as good as in their prime.
Already.. after a lifetime of lovin'the Oils.. This is so freaking good. Already I put it up there with the great songs from the old days.
Just found this. Had no idea the Oils were writing and playing again. As good as ever, which is a surprise. Most people seem to have a decade or so of great art in them, to find a whole band that still burns after this amount of time is extraordinary.
Legends......enjoy them while it lasts. Not long now....
If that does get you fired up, their music & their messages still as relevant now as they were 40 years ago. Loving the new music.
I would think, you would think, we Oils fans would think. The World at its time in its history now, is more rife and bountiful then ever for bands like..............MIdnight Oil.

First listened to these blokes way back in 85 or 86 , one of my mates had 10 to 1 playing in his car on his new stereo loud and clear, needless to say I was blown away , to this day they never cease to amaze me with their music , great stuff !

I wasn't able to see them in Oakland, where I had gotten a ticket. I wish I had been able to go. I saw them on the Diesel and Dust tour in Bloomington IN. Incredible show. And I love this song.

This song is amazing just as Rising Seas. Haven't been this excited about a new Midnight Oil album in years. The Resist album will be awesome. I'm glad I pre-ordered it, just got a notification that it will be ready for pick up on it's release day on, can't wait.

I SOOOOOO look forward to seeing Midnight Oil at Rod Laver Arena on 9/3/22, I have loved this band since I arrived from NE England to Australia on 27/8/82, they taught me to respect the original culture of this land, & I have never forgotten (my rescue galah cockatoo makes sure I don't forget, he has learnt to communicate with humans for his survival "following in the steps of his ancestory" we still have yet to learn from the original bird/animals of this land....I will be there on the 9th March, hoping for 2-3hours of absolute political rock!!!!!!!
Just as an add-on, I will be wearing an original Aboriginal designed Black Milk (Australian Company) shirt, limited edition, sold out in less than 2 hours, as an honour to Midnight Oil & the original colonists of Australia, see ya there everyone, I will be on the floor....of course

Funny how the bass plays itself at 3:03 while Adam's taking a break to adjust his strap :) Not quite live but I like the energy and a bit of rawness to this version.
