Very deep interview. Jonathan Nott is totally inside Mahler's music, conducting his Symphonies very powerfully and sensitively, joyining very clear analysis with great power and emotion.

Jonathan Not and the Bamberger Symphoniker are THE surprise performer of Mahler's symphonies. If you have not any of them - PLEASE DO SO!!! They played an outstanding Mahler cycle. They are on top with the best orchestras in the world. Their Mahler performances are wonderful to listen to. What Jonathan Nott created with the Bamberger Symphoniker can't be overstated. He is a great conductor!!
