- In this video, I install, test, and review the Rolling Wrench (@RollingWrench) Unrestricted CDI (linked below) on my 2022 Honda Navi.
The goal of the Unrestricted CDI is to remove the Navi's 8700 RPM rev limiter set by Honda. It fully de-restricts the engine's RPMs, allowing them to theoretically go up to 11500, which is the max for this engine. It is customizable, and I will be setting the limit to 10,000 RPMs to prevent any damage (this is my guess, not fact. I'm not responsible for anything you do to your Navi). I wasn't able to set it in the video, and you'll see why.
Current Mods: Other than a 12in rear wheel, bigger tires, and the HotLap Mamushi Exhaust, my Navi is stock.
Before doing the CDI install, my flat ground top speed was 53mph and downhill was 56mph.

I have a ruckus and I came here for this cdi but now I’m just thinking maybe just save up for bigger bike , I’m 350lb and my ruckus rev limiter kicks in at 39mph . I appreciate your video and your knowledge ride safe bro
I’d say you’d benefit most from swapping the ruckus with a 150cc gyc. Otherwise, yeah, a bigger bike. Thanks for the love!

Consider the CDi with those other mods as well. Someone has accomplished 62.5mph on a Navi. I have to find the link to the article I read when I find it but the CDi is meant to be the cherry on top.
Yupp, that was my conclusion too. CDI is a cherry on top once you've done everything else. It won't have an impact on a stock Navi, though, which is what this video was meant to test.
@Moetorcycles But I have to tell you, I don't have the bigger wheel on mine yet, I have an intake, no carb and exhaust and I'm flatting out at 50mph with the CDi so you're doing better than me atm. Money has been a tad tight 😅😅

I replace the oil every 1000 miles
I ride too often to change it after every refuel. That would be like multiple changes a day lol

What size weights do u have ? Im 160 i put 11g dr puller sliders on mine with a better carb and exhaust and will bog out around 55 60 but will get upt there quick

What kind of weights do you use in the variator to get up to the top speed of 60 mph ?
Somebody in another Navi mod video used a Dremel to grind out the variator where the weights sit . It makes them move out slightly more, have you tried doing that ? It may get you the 60 mph top speed.
In this video I had the stock weights.

I haven’t done the mod that Silas had posted (the dremeled variator), but it’s on my radar and I will be giving it a shot soon!

I have Yoshimura exhaust, mnnthbx intake, 38/90 jets, yellow Malossi contra, and NYC clutch kit with 1500 rpm clutch springs, but im hitting the rev limiter at like 50mph. Should this CDI be my next move? Any input would great not sure how everyone else is hitting 55+ and im struggling
My Navi has a 12in rear wheel, so results will be different than with a 10in rear wheel. You might be able to go a little faster with the cdi, but I can’t say for certain. Buddy of mine with a 10in wheel is getting the cdi soon so I’ll test it out and make a video when he does

I haven't put the bigger tires on yet, but I did grind the variator where the rollers go. Best free mod you can do, steady 53 mph now and not hitting revs limiter

@@Moetorcyclescheapest way to get the Navi to go faster and higher top speed? In the winds it gets to only 45. Not looking to spend more than 600$. If getting over 50 isn’t doable with that budget than is it possible to get 50 in high winds? Feel like it’s rev limiter at 45 right?
@@jayyy4491 Cheapest way to have a faster top speed is to put a 12in wheel on the back. you'll gain 2-5mph on your top speed. $100 for the wheel, $50-100 for the tire. You will be slower to accelerate from 0 though.
No, you're not hitting the rev limiter at 45mph.
Why do you ride so Dangerous? My 2022 is 100% stock i can hit 50 mph.easy and my throttle is not wide open. I've never tried to see how fast my navi goes.
Everyone rides their own ride. Everyone also enjoys the things they buy differently. No right or wrong. Happy and safe riding :)
I ride to work and back everyday, I have to hit 50 or people will ride my booty. 55 would be preferred 60 would be ideal but it’s gonna take some work for that.
Have my tires, clutch, weights and exhaust on the way.
