Great exercise. The fullness of the tone produced by the 'Da Ga' syllable versus the smaller sounding 'Tu Ku' alternate is obvious in this example. Fantastic opportunity to play along with one of the world's leading trumpeters.
I'm a clarinet player, and until now I was trying the “Da Ga” in the video. (Obvious mistake, its not the articulation I should be doing) Although it most likely wasn't your intended purpose, I switched to the “Ta Ka” mentioned here. Your comment helped a lot!
