Tbh, I think one of Liverpool's issues last season was over passing the ball and going nowhere. Someone who will run and people and be selfish now and again would be appealing.

Rio turns 16 in just 12 days as I write this. Amazing potential. I like how he controls the ball with pace, acceleration and agility. He draws in two or three defenders that he can hold off, which naturally leaves space for other Liverpool attackers to exploit. Looking forward to seeing him develop.
Great energy and visions, however, he's in a differentiation mode (selfish play) needs integration mode(team play) to bring out his best in Liverpool.

He reminds me of Sterling at that age, in the sense that he's often just running at defenders with no real direction, and is a bit greedy. Hopefully he learns to involve his teammates more and not just run with the ball for the sake of running with the ball.

Don't get our hopes too high bros.. Liverpool traditionally don't thrive with mazy dribblers like this. Of course there are a few exceptions, Suarez, Sterling, Coutinho, just to name a few recent ones. But these players have high work rate and they perform well in their defensive duties as well to complement with their dribbling flair. He needs to bulk up his physical strength and work rate which ultimately is the deciding factor to get into the team. We have had players like this in the Youth Academy through the years but many did not make the final cut. Musialowski, nicknamed the Polish Messi, is one of them. Ben Doak is close though, hopefully he flourishes under AS.

If he continues to run around like a headless chicken, he'll either end up getting clattered by some agricultural knuckle-dragger of a defender, or he'll burn himself out by the time he's 21. Going on mazy dribbling runs might excite crowds, but if there's no end product, what is the point? Arne Slot and his coaching team in the academy have a lot of polishing to do on him before he gets anywhere near playing with the big boys, that's for sure!

Player refused to sign contract at Chelsea due to very poor prospect of 1st team football. He also refused City for the same reason. Was close to joining Bayern Munchen but preferred move to Liverpool due to guarantee involvement within the 1st team sphere. Player has already agreed personal terms with Liverpool. Agreement with Chelsea is very close although he could potentially be one of the most expensive youth signings ever.
