I don’t know mind…I feel like the hawkfrost mini looks kinda interesting and unique? And I think it’s a good thing they didn’t go by just fan interpretation, considering that fan interpretation seems to usually mess up his actual canon look and make him a different cat in a lot of ways. As a hawkfrost fan, I’m happy with the look of the figure, they maaaaybe just needed to make the white a bit more off-tone and define the face a smidge more.
He just kinda looks goofy, like he's a sad little baby man and Mothwing looks like the one who'd rip out ur guts. I don't hate that dynamic ngl, it's just unexpected
I agree that they are the best thing in the store. Everything else is just...bland or too pricey for the quality it has (like...the plushies). The minis, shipping included, are still quite cheap so I always get them. My favourite from this set is 100% Crookedstar, they made him super cute!! I really want to see Leafpool and Hollyleaf...or some more TNP arc cats, since that's my favourite arc!
I always kinda imagined Darkstripe as having sleek almost greasy hair like what I imagine Harry Potter fans think Snape’s hair is like. Meanwhile the mini says, FLUFF 😭
In relation to your question about if Darkstripe was seen as fluffy, for me I see him fluffy because he is related to Graystripe. That doesn't necessarily mean anything, just how I imagined him.
Yeah I'm mixed on this set, on one paw they do sit pretty well and some designs are good but, on the other paw MapleShade needs a redesign and the way they did the whole white beird like thing. it's a lot, I definitely as I said agree that MapleShade needs a redesign, the pill yellow is not right, her nose is also way too light and without the white tail, unless she didn't have the angry face you'd mistake her for SpottedLeaf.
I'm still waiting on mine for this set thanks to post delays, but I'm glad to hear the quality is decent. The pairs they chose also make way more sense than usual. I really hope we get the rest of the arc 2-4 main characters that are still missing soon.
I actually think the Scourge plushes look alright, and pretty unique compared to the other designs... (I may or may not be getting one when they come back in stock, which is surprisingly a huge issue I've noticed... why are none of the plushes _ever_ in stock??)

I would LOVE to see how they would make briarlight. They would have to come up with a whole new pose while still making her able to stand. They did it for cinderpelt tho sooo

I feel like the Warrior Cats website is trying to do with the minis design what Funko does far too often with their Pops. Like "Hey, now WE have fancy vinyl figures too! This big name company that a lot of people enjoy does this horribly tacky thing with their overly popular vinyls, so we should totally do that too!" (this is coming from someone who does, in fact, collect Pops)

I'm really happy they made Crookedstar's broken jaw obvious, it makes him super easy to identify and really looks like him. In a lot of official art, they either downplayed or hid his jaw, which I think really did a disservice to him and what he represents as a character in a position of power who has a disability/deformity.
Would it really kill the merchandise makers to follow the artwork from Enter the Clans? What's the point of having someone paint the cats if you're not going to use the design at all?
Honestly mapleshade was really disappointing to me too, I feel like they had options to make her seem more like “scary angry lady kitty” and they didn’t use it
The minis are okay but Hawkfrost looks like his face was dipped in milk bc of the way the white is distributed and Mothwing looks too sneaky and not gold enough for my taste. The minis style isn’t ugly and could easily be redrawn in new poses for the shirt designs and look good but laziness plagues the merch team :(
I really wish DirtyNoodles didn't have to be the one to make great looking Warrior cat plushies. I wish we could just get them as official merch instead. Alas.

mapleshade is my least favourite, her head looks way rounder than the other guys. my favourite set is mothwing and hawkfrost. i never noticed hawkfrosts head size, and it doesnt bother me as much as mapleshades does. super excited for mine to come in
I know darkstripe isn’t fluffy but I made mine fluffy and super stubby because the idea of him fighting along tigerstar as this short fluffy little guy is really funny to me
ok so i was hoping they did a yellowfang reboot w/ the minis like they did with jayfeather, cause i couldnt get yellowfang last time. but NOOO thay had to do an INCREDIBLY minor villain that i forgot about and had to look up
I really hate Mapleshade and Hawkfrost's minis. Hawkfrost doesn't come off as a villain who uses brain, nor the eye-pleasing design he usually has. The stripe color makes me think they didn't belong, and the head shape is just awful. I hate Mapleahde as well, more or so because of her ugly head, but also the weird color choice. She's not really intimidating, just ugly, along with her not being all that recognizable. I also think Bluestar is a bit too happy when you think of her character arc and backstory, but that's fine i guess. Crookedstar looks pretty cute, and if it weren't for Mapleshade, i'd probably buy it. I do like Mothwing, despite her looking a little evil. Her colors are pretty, the shape of her head has a fine shape, along with having some cute ears. I dont have much to about Darkstripe, but i do like his bright yellow eyes.
