Yeah. Your insurance is supposed to fight for you in a disagreement like this. Your insurance premium doesn't just pay for damages you may suffer or cause in an accident. It also pays for legal costs if your insurance company has to fight another insurance company in court over the accident. I am thinking they might have liability only, and their own insurance put the other driver at complete fault. But, yes, they should fight for the cammer considering they will have to partially pay.
I never ever assume someone is pulling into the center lane. I also never pull out in front of someone with their turn signal on. Been burned before in both instances.
So many people drive under the assumption that other drivers will do the right thing. I was taught to always assume that they won't. Person making a left is already slowly pulling out? Then assume they'll cut you off and prepare to respond to that.
@@ARCNA442 In some states such as Pennsylvania, vehicles may also use this lane to end their left turn from a cross street before entering the traffic stream.

You're supposed to look if the road is clear before crossing. Otherwise, where are you going to end? Let me not slow down for the green light because someone might cross a red. Rules were made so that people can expect others to follow them. If not, then the rules have no meaning left to them.
@@icecubee55 But you can already see the other person is not following the rules. If someone's stopped in the middle of the intersection in front of you, running into them is *also* against the rules.
@@spamlessaccount Yeah, I can see that. It's not clear to me on the video how far that dual-turn lane extends, and it was most definitely the woman's fault. But that doesn't give you the "right of way." No law says "X has the right of way over Y." Every law out there says "Y yields the right of way to X." But then X winds up yielding also to avoid collisions and such.
Can we make plateshaming a thing? Publishing the plate numbers on Twitter along with detailed descriptions of incidents so people know how terrible of a driver they are? Seems like the perfect accompaniment to videos like this.
1:25 to 1:30 is quite honestly the most satisfying outcome I have ever experienced on this channel... a person deliberately runs a light, has to stop for a couple vehicles first, then runs the light anyway only to STILL get plowed. I may have achieved climax if it actually rolled all the way over.
@@spamlessaccount you are also required to keep safe distance from the vehicle in front of you and take heed of brake lights. Also, what proof do you have that they were trying to parallel park?
#10 just before the 4:00 mark is very similar to the near miss I had the other night on my way to work. As I approached the light at the intersection on the highway off ramp to turn left I stopped for a moment while the light changed for me and just as I started to go someone dressed completely in black on a bicycle with no lights rode across the sidewalk through a red light right in front of me and completely jump scared me, I still don’t know how I didn’t hit them it was that close, so scary!
Protected green arrow means the white truck must have had a red. I don't know about your state, but in Georgia, right on red MUST yield to ALL other traffic before proceeding.
If someone intentionally impedes my right of way forcing me to brake, they're absolutely getting the horn. That is a hazard, and the very reason horns are required by law. If people seem to honk everywhere someone goes, perhaps they should consider maybe they are the problem.

2:59.... but there is also a yield sign.... so wouldnt the cammer be at fault if they hit the car in front... if the light is green and there is a yield sign I would also still yield
The light is green for different directions. A separated lane that has its own yield sign is bearing all the responsibility for that particular right turn lane. It makes sense that when they have green for straight forward, there will be less chances for cars coming across, but that should not be a factor in checking the road you enter. Again, you can check faster and not stop, a yield sign doesn't imply to come to a complete stop, but not all drivers are alike. If you are better than others, that also mean you can anticipate slower/hesitant driver's moves and this instance would have been no issue for a good driver.
3:06 regardless if you stopped in time; you were obviously NOT paying attention. It was very evident from YOUR video that traffic was breaking i.e. slowing down. You slammed on your brakes; so, guess what?? So is everyone behind you.

what does the dash cam position have to do with anything? If it was on the passenger side of your windsheild, it shouldn't impede the ability to see out of the left side
OP is referring to the cop not paying attention to what transpired behind him/her but honestly it’s not a violation. No contact was made. Typical Subaru driver.
@2:51 maybe because they do not have the right of way and have to yield, cue the YIELD sign. granted you may not have seen anything that might have been a hazard but it doesnt mean they will just act you and fly past the sign
A can of lysol can definitely stop your brake pedal from coming down, so if she had said can of lysol, and said can could fit under her brake pedal...I'd give her that. She would still be completely at fault but I would better about it.

I think you're right. In both clips, Delphine had plenty of time to stop but waiting until the last moment to start braking. Either her reaction time is very slow and she needs to adjust for that, or she needs to pay better attention to what's in front of her.
It was probably the medical portion of the claim. There are so many fraudulent medical claims in traffic incidents that they have to push back or they'd go broke and none of us would have coverage.

Question: Is it illegal to drive uninsured in the US? Here in Ireland (and the UK) the police have ANPR (Automatic Number Plate Recognition) cameras that can instantly tell them whether a car is insured, has road tax, has what's called an NCT (MoT in UK, basically a certificate of roadworthiness), etc. If you're missing any one of these you can get pulled.
yes it is illegal and funny part is our law enforcement has similar technology, but you still see mass amounts of vehicles on the road without current registration, or uninsured drivers.
#3 nah I would fight that, they are the ones that didn't stay in THEIR lane when turning. Even if they should have waited to turn, they could have easily stayed in the right most lane (their lane) and you were in YOUR lane (the left one). They are the ones that turned on red and made a wide turn.

4:02 Ah yes. The old "Lysol can under the brake pedal" defense.
0:10 if only you were paying attention and could have taken some sort of defensive action before the situation became 10x worse.
There's a center turn lane - it was reasonable for the cammer to assume that's where she was headed.
@@spamlessaccount Their pulling into a center turning lane is not a reasonable assumption - that lane is for turning, not traveling.
@@ARCNA442 In some states such as Pennsylvania, vehicles may also use this lane to end their left turn from a cross street before entering the traffic stream.

2:59.... but there is also a yield sign.... so wouldnt the cammer be at fault if they hit the car in front... if the light is green and there is a yield sign I would also still yield
