I love the response of the builders to EMBRACE the idea that they are making a permanent ideal for the future.
" Your materials can't pretend to be anything else" Words to live by.
I love, love, love Piers Taylors ideas!
The landscaping makes all the difference, it looks like a house sitting there permanently and not like a travelers bungalow.
Also that bookshelf as dividing wall is a great idea.
Second time I am watching this. The fact that you listened and send with the ideas that were suggested to you both by professionals is what makes this house. I hope that the chicken farming has been a financial success. Hi from Cape Town.
Music aside, the place turned out to be really quite beautiful. Thanks for the video!
Quite informative and realistic. This is where simplicity meets style. Kudos love the program.
I loved Pierce he gave the couple really good advice
The end result is stunning and the input of knowledgeable, experienced people to offer new thoughts and ideas for this couple to end up producing what they wanted at a reasonable cost was a joy to watch unfold. Hope you all have many beautiful, successful and happy years on your farm :)
Friends and family are amazing, I’m glad they were able to keep going. They have people supporting them that know they’ll get the money back. I hope your show catches up on all the series builders so we can see the full finished designs at a future time. This has been one of my favorites.
You guys are awesome. It warms my heart to see how you help the home owners. And your designs ... wow!
They listened to the experts and made the ideas their own.
Wow, the finished house with the landscaping was stunning!! Well done, indeed.
Love the videos but PLEASE fix the music!
Is terrible...🙉.. Socorro!
I wanted to watch the entire video, but I had to stop because of the music!
This was ask to fix the music 10 months ago. I guess they don't care. This would be more enjoyed for if they took the music out!!!
The sound is a way to get around copyright. These people don’t own the program but are nice enough to post it for us.
Omg it's bloody awsome 😍 I'm very jealous.
The muzak is for copyright reasions I believe. The real program never had this tripe imposing its 'musical' diatribe over it. Relax and enjoy the end result.
I would be surprised as most of the music that overtakes the narration is copyright songs I recognize.
I absolutely LOVE their little house and grounds! She did a really good job choosing fixtures and decor too. I’m MAD about their partition! It is smashing! And I absolutely love the siding and roof. Wish I could reside my house with that!!!
I like this couple's willingness to learn. Beautiful home! 👍🏽😁🇯🇲😁💯
Excellent! So open to changing ideas and came out with a most most stunning house.
Great ideas, very informative with the architectural insight and design advice
Absolutely FANTASTIC Well Done!!!!!
Enjoy the vids Pity that the added sound track drowns out the narrator
What an outcome!
Well done! I hope the farm business goes really well.
The patio is my favourite part of the build!
Dear DIY Daily,
You show experts giving practical help and sharing their knowledge with people who are so appreciative of the improvement that these abilities make to their project.
Can you please consult someone who knows how to balance background music with speech to provide a pleasing soundtrack?
That would be absolutely marvellous - thanks !!
This is awesome and inspirational! Absolutely beautiful!
So happy to see this kind of wonderful family... Wish all success for them all times 😍🤗
Mister Hen is a hoot ! Well desrved end result. Well done.
The brickwork bond is Flemish Bond.
Stretcher, Header Stretcher. EVERY COURSE.
Garden Wall bond is the terminology used for a garden wall. Which is only bonded every 5 or 6 courses.
And English Garden wall bond as suggested, is a course of stretchers for 5 courses and then a complete course of Headers after 5 courses.
I'm an old builder when we paid attention to 9" walls 14" 18" and 24" thick walls. Sorry to pick up on the detail.
Great videos 👍
So many wonderful elements and those shelving unit is absolutely marvellous
Absolutely BEAUTIFUL ❤️❤️❤️ great job.Hard work but well worth it.Dreams do come true with patients and perseverance
These are real geniuses they can come build me a house 🏠 😏 in Australia 🇦🇺 😀 please 🙏 😀.
Stunning, but the music is too loud!
I love these shows, but music at times is too loud, the drums! I want to hear what people are saying.
fabulous
Absolutamente lindíssima 👏👏👏👏, ♡from Brazil 🇧🇷!
Love this show
Hello from phoenix AZ USA 🇺🇸❤👍
Any one else think that Piers looks like Lord Farquar from shrek 😂😜
Best comment and break from the music complain😅💯
GODS SPEED!
I agree William the music drowns out the speakers voice...can't name him off hand but he is from Restoration Home.
Keiron Long,
Lovely..
WOW! JUST LIKE A DOUBLE WIDE TRAILER. IT WILL BE EASY TO MOVE.
Why is the music so loud? I couldnt hear the narration in parts .
Music...too loud, spoils such an interesting concept.
Use solar light tubes in the ceiling in the corridor. And expose the beams up there - height and light. Solved.
It's look amazing
A good video but by all that's holy ditch the music. Who put this together needs to turn down or shut off the blaring extra music.
The music needs to be a bit quieter. I shouldn't hear the music over the narration at any time.
I agree the music drowns out the narrator. Very annoying but I really enjoyed the show.
awesome home
Like your video, but the music is too loud, one can't hear the comments
I wonder why they didn't consider corrugated metal for the exterior walls as well. Inexpensive, in keeping with the farm theme but modern as well . . .
Is there a demented sound engineer somewhere in the British Isles that has convinced innocent video makers that they actually know what they're doing?? (Rhetorical question) There is now a whole series of these wonderful construction and design videos that is essentially ruined by the voice-overs dropping in volume, and the accompanying music swelling in volume, making it difficult to try and hear the voice-over....Drives me crazy! It is so stupid that these videos were actually released without this being corrected! Maybe the whole production team is incompetent?!?? It's maddening!
As one gentleman above commented, the show didn't have any music when it was made and broadcast on TV, it's been added in for something to do with copyrighting.
I enjoyed that the couple were so open to build suggestions and that they were so creative in the build. What a good lesson. Despite financial setbacks they endured to end up with a lovely home anyone could be proud of. Best of luck to a very nice couple and their family. PLEASE CORRECT THE LOUD MUSIC PROBLEM. IT SPOILS AN OTHERWISE AMAZING CHANNEL.
Are you paying to watch?- it’s a pirated video.
Piers and Kieran - wonderful programmes. A question though, have either of you actually watched the videos with sound on?
If so, I'm sure the necessity of having to alter the volume level all the time might encourage you to make a change. Please??
Like so many programs, completely ruined by unnecessary loud music
Music way too loud. Can't hear the narration.
music drowns out the spoken words, as usual with this programme!
Wait... they are using green wood?
The lady in this first build reminds me so much of Donna Noble! I swear this must be Catherine Tate's younger sister!
I like these programs too, but it seems like nobody realizes that this channel is just recycling old programs that are way past their TV days. People seem to comment as though they think that this channel had something to do with building houses!
Although the builder is a jewel! He's a Jack of all trades, and what he's done by himself is amazing!
But why oh why can't the brits embrace the idea of built in closets!
I live in a house with fascia and soffits. Maybe homes are different in the UK, but that sounded odd to me.
Everyone needs to understand that the OVER LOUD music is because the program is being pirated from the ORIGINAL programme.
I went back+ looked at the channel name; so this isn't the originator but is a lift from telly, is that correct?
The mix is generally poor. Music level is ok. Narration needs to be eq'd, compressed and brought up 6dB
I cannot hear anything the host is saying!! Add a caption option so I can read what is being said. Please.
V luxurious n beautiful built. It is v eye pleasing n royal but wooden walls r v costly affair n risky Rater stone or brick wall is permanent n safe
love this show but the loud music is horrid cant hear what hes saying
Please, this is such an interesting programme - it's not about raucous music - it's about spending money wisely to build a great home! Now figure your way around that one! Or turn your music down a few notches, thank you!
Biggest mistake on RUclips - Music too loud.
Can't hear what you're saying with the music blaring!
The music is so loud that you can hardly hear the narrator!
Nice, they're building a slightly bigger trailer lol
Music is definitely TOO loud. !!
WHY can't this production team figure out the damn music?
yep...I will not continue
It's for copyright reasions I believe. The real program never had this tripe imposing its 'musical' diatribe over it.
Music is too loud.
It is so hard to hear the narrative over the music.... you don't need it at all!
The music is dreadful. Better to leave silence.
Turn the silly music off!!
Then we might be able to hear what's been said....
Good gravy! Has production watched their projects? Fear not - otherwise they would have dialed back the volume on the music so you could hear the dialogue.
good job!
Well done!
They can afford a stone patio but not a few boards to avoid having to use plumbing pipes for a book case?
The plumbing pipes look very good.
Yes the loud music is appalling
video production comment: vocal narration needs more volume. The background music is too loud. The bank mortgage was the huge problem for this couple. Maybe they should have saved for this home and thereby been able to remove the ugly from their beauty.
Where are my playlists? You mixed everything all up again - I can’t find anything I saved
Try going to your playlist menu, and drag your finger down the left side of the screen. This will refresh your lists. It took me a while to find mine too.
GO BRITS GO! The BREXIT spirit lives on. We know you can do it. Remember your colonists created the USA, AUS, CAN and the Empire! However-Bauhaus Architecture somehow doesn't quite jive with the Ag lifestyle.
That architects 500k "farmhouse" is a hideous eyesore inside and out. It just amazes me... Every house he showed them looked like a cold industrial soul killing nightmare. Lol
You pick the parts which work for you.
@@Angela-qs4cz It's a particular aesthetic. You like it, or you don't!
Enjoying all of these videos except for the loud music. Half the time the music makes it impossible to hear what they are saying.
Opening the closet door to inside is very odd
I thought so, too - pocket door would have solved problem!
Stop with the loud music!!!
I hate this UK thing of having a door with no covering, no porch, no enclosure, just exposed to wind and rain, often with the door opening directly onto the public pavement and no shelter in front of the door and nothing stopping the weather beating against the door. So cheap-looking. I can understand you have no excuse in some old cottage that's had a road built right up to the front hall carpet, but in a new build? No shelter, no sense of security or arrival, just a door in a wall? Crap quality, cheap, tacky. Exactly like a caravan, in fact. And as for having no soffitt, a house without eaves is like a head without ears. It just looks wrong. And again - incredibly cheap, like 'We need to save some money!' 'I know, let's not bother with any eaves but just chop off the roof right at the gutters! That will save us a whole 79p.' It would have looked much more like a real, permanent house with eaves twice as deep as those (what they call a 'sheltering roof' in A Pattern Language). Proper eaves would also shelter the windows as well as the door: without eaves, the windows get the full force of rain and have to be washed after every rain. With the light hitting the windows as much as they do, they will show every water spot and all the dust and every speck. Overhanging eaves would have sheltered the windows, filtered some of the harsh sunlight, and kept the windows clean, while offering a sense of shelter, safety and hominess to the oustide. It looks very much like what Americans call a double-wide mobile home. In other words, a fancy caravan, only larger.
I thought to myself - Dang! Little kids and klutzy people could fall right off that patio! Some fencing/railing would be a lot safer.
Terrible sound great show
I really loved this couple and their story. but whoever mixes the sound for these videos needs to be drawn and quartered. (I decided the blood eagle was too harsh)
Every time the expert speaks, the "background" music goes to 10! WTF! Post-production needs to be fired.
Why is the music so loud, you can't hear the narrative
A million eggs a year how are they broke?
Please eliminate the strident obnoxious music. The commentary is important!!#
The house must be removable incase the farm fails? What crazy governmental over-reach.
seen. . OK. I HATE THE SHELVES.
Yes, they completely negate the privacy of even having a study. TV is on, kids are yelling, mom is yelling at the kids while you're behind an open shelf trying to keep up your business, make phone calls or even think!
Why aren't their screens on any windows or doors I'm sure the United Kingdom has bugs?
I don't believe any of these homes are done that cheap considering the cost of new power supply, water and sanitation, labor and everything else. Just not realistic unless materials and labor are dirt cheap which I doubt.
Music too loud please fix it
