Thanks for the shout out! And yes, that 1999 model is still my favorite! Found a couple Heavy Battle Droids but I need to put them in boiling water as the elbows are stuck! There was a booth at an area comic con I went to this past weekend with lots of 1999 Phantom Menace figures, but no Battle Droids :(. The show is going to be my blog post this upcoming Sunday as I got a lot, and yes, overpaid for a few items but happy with what I got. Even got a few GI Joe figures to use for customs! Great video, as always!
Nice collection, Jason! And a fun video showing the various versions. Gotta agree w your buddy: 1999 TPM movie line for the win! Functionality trumps everything else. The 1999 droid works and the newer ones are too skinny with very bendy plastic. Which means they cant stand up. If they can’t stand up, all the articulation in the world is useless. I have a few of the POTJ versions on display but 90 percent of my loose battle droids are the original versions. In a time of preposterously scarce new tooling, I’m ok with never getting any new B1s in the line. The TVC ones look nice on card. And that’s where mine are going to stay! 😂
Cheers Biggs! Coleman is our buddy from the Banthaskull comments. I think a Geonosis card would look awesome, but I totally understand if you are over Battledroids.
IMO.... The best battle droid to date are the ones from the Legacy collection, they were never issued singly but they were in the two packs that were exclusive to Target and walmart.. those are the best and I wish they would be used those bodies....😎👍
Prime moment for Hasbro to release an updated 4-pack of these guys (or 3 of them plus 1 B2). These ones are way too flimsy and cheap and the technology has reached a level that surpasses these moulds.
I have tons of clones, and yet only 4 of the B1 droids just because I couldn't get them to stand longer than a few hours before they toppled over even on a stand.

You’re right! A Geonosis card could be epic. I’d definitely buy one. To keep carded 😂
Very nice video

Good call. I think I have a few of those in Geonosis colours, it's hard to tell because I got most of them loose. Cheers

Yes! Especially with all the prequel anniversaries this year (TPM 25th) and next (ROTS 20th). Cheers
The problem with a 4-pack of these is that Hasbro would overprice them without improving the quality of the flimsy plastic.
I would definitely like a new mold before they do a 4-pack, just like with the Rebel Commandoes. Cheers

Yeah, they are hopeless.
Best one is the revenge of the Sith VZ
Cool, thanks. I don't think I have one of those, might try to find one.
@@kiwimanMAKMCSWF yea good pose and still pretty cheap figure comes with a stand as well
