@@Raizmorph Would actually be historically more accurate since the Tiger in 1942 was still a new kind of weapon and even veteran crews would still need to first find out how they can best exploit the possibilities of the new Tiger Tank and the original COH1 ace mission took place in the summer of 1944 by then they would have had time to have the know how how to use such a tank to its fullest potential, versatility and firepower.
It does have a better storyline, but I always feel the second mission is such a sore thumb with an invincible tank crew basically destroying an entire platoon
The square building next to the railway ( east of trainyard ) is a good place to kite the 3 kvs, their autopath messes up allowing you to shoot through the buillding while they are rotating the entire tank to turn, it takes long but u can whittle down to 2 and repeat.
I just can’t wrap my head around why the original game is visually so much more appealing. The sounds in COH2 are great but that’s as far as the stone throws.
Update: I beat it yesterday, at last! Then, I reloaded my last save because I wanted to make sure. Had the 3 KV 2s down to one third of their health bars. Did a hit and run and then hid. Suddenly, all three stopped chasing me, unless I got very close. Hid behind bushes and used attack ground, but my God I was shocked when they stopped reacting Maybe a bug?
@@Sam-xt2gz No it isn't a bug..it's game mechanic. To hit they need vision..but through bushes they cant see..thats why they didin't react..they dont knw and see what is hitting them.That applies to us too...thats y i use flares to get vision for attack ground.

If you are struggling try lure them over the minefields on the side of the map and ground attack the mines as they drive close. Wtf was with that out of control 6th tank on your game? aha
1. play trough middle capture point use for every move ''F'' lighting , if Guard troops and broke mtfckr grenaders atack drive with ''U'' to blue area it's safe can only guard team rush. 2. after middle way 3 point captured go to the begin point and captured right and left points too, dont used any ammos every repair make a round +%30 heal, 3.take last captured but not from mine side, becarefull because this two point in defend mood, for all captured if you need make a repair, then after becames t34's and little bastards it's easy , then becames KV-1's and 1 KV-2 use your helpers on the captured places they will make a chaos you can take the enemy, be fast and serial, if have a time make a repair, 4.and then became a 3 KV-2's one of them will be easly ''gun destroyed'' dont play with him, he is piece of cake, use your guards and play round of captured points it will chaos ''Chaos=Change'' , take them step by step and be cool, dont panic 5. Don't turn your ass to enemy, if you turn you will that soviet fingers feel it xD,use ammos only for repair and last 100 use for booster for 3 KV-2's !!!Congs!!! sry for my bad language
I am not able to make those 3 KV-2s stuck in the cities... Did they patch it up? Anyway, a piece of advice from me - after killing the crews of the Soviet AT guns, destroy them completely with attack ground. Your allied infantry will not seize them and the enemy will not be able to reuse them when it will send counterattacks with infantry. On several occasions, I was surprised by a recrewed AT gun and lost the valuable HP.
I don't think thats a bug..they stay in the town because our infantry is keep shooting at them from the captured areas. Also thank you for your tip on the AT guns. I didn't know that. : )
Nice video. I'm curious. The last 3 Kv-2 seem to follow you as notoriously like in my mission. For me the mission is not doable. I cant win vs this 3 Kv-2 they dont get me a second to breathe or even heal the Tiger Ace.
Never let the Kv-2 to hit your rear and side armors. Always face them with your front armor.Try to to hit their rear and side armors and keep distance with them. Try to face them one by one. You wont survive with all at once. Also don't waste your munition for smoke or blitzkrieg tactic.Its a waste in this mission. Try again. :)
@@duster2667 yeah i did that, but unfortunately the kv-2 just follow me even with no sight. i cant seperate them, they seem to dont have battlefog. And i guess they patched the damage the tiger and other tanks do. so i get more damage sometimes and do less ... i feel the mission is a bit broken since they have done some patches. I have an old save but there the kv2 also follow me all around the map. maybe some day im able to do the mission. Also these consript dudes always throw with this cheap grenades..... sometimes you get lucky and kill them instantly but sometines theyhit you harder then the tanks itself

Reserve your health in the first half of the game.Its the trick.Use flares and attack ground ability to kill enemies without confronting them. It would save you some health. In the second phase,Try to hit KV-2 rear and side armors. Don't face all the KV-2 's at once,face them one by one. In the fight only face them with your frontier armor.Try to keep a distance with them and don't let them hit your front rear and side armors.
I totally agree. This has nothing to do with RTS and not with CoH. Give me a damn base and let me build and control units... This is the last mission I havnt finished on general difficulty so far - and honestly I just dont wanne play it cause its so boring, if I would wanne control a single tank for ages I can go and play World of Tanks or whatever... I wanne play RTS :(
In my opinion this is one of the worst missions in CoH 2 - I despice mission with, how I call it, non-CoH-gameplay. I wanne build a base, I wanne build units and I wanne take over positions and gather resources... Controlling a single tank has nothing to do with CoH, not atleast in that extend. Even worse is the fact that the objective is hidden, meaning you think you only need to take the bases and then suddenly you have to fend of a bunch of more tanks and infantry ... the commander voice says I could make use of the allies infantry, which took the basis, but you cant, can u? They just stand around and only shoot at enemys who come in their range... wtf? Why cant I take control of those units? Pretty much every basis has unmanned anti-tank guns, so why cant I use the infantry to man those ans use them against the tanks? Instead I have to take advantage of the ai pathfinding to destroy those tanks... I guess thats just the developers showing the players the middle finger... Worst mission... by far.

@@warden2242in your patch their power has been increased and the tiger significantly nerfed. It's not the same as in this video.

Let them go through our grenadier troops in captured areas. Then KV2s will attack at them. While they are busy killing grenadiers you can hit them.

l jsut wish it was realistic, like you cant upgrade reload to be like 2 secs.

One of the worst missions in theater of war. Still better than Schildkrötenberg but close in terms of BS and god awful game design.
