my stepson was put in that position about his kidneys because his birth dad might have needed a transplant.....to say the least their history was not a good one.....when I talked to him, told him he had to think really hard as his dad was 71 and asked what if his 8 year old daughter need a kidney of his? his choice wasn't hard for him at all.....
What nobody is saying is, what if he gets tested and is not a match? Emily is putting all her eggs in one basket. She may die anyway. If I was Op, i would've said no too. That's pretty major surgey. Op could die during or after the surgery due to complications.
I would have agreed to get tested but when I went in tell the doctor that you are being pressure to get tested and that you are not willing to get tested but tell the doctor to say that I wasn't a match than leave. They have to comply.
It's actually very illegal to buy an organ like that and doctors actually won't do the surgery if they find out the person donating was under pressure to do it.
OP might find that donating a kidney isn't a minor thing, and may have a non-trivial effect on his own health. I am not a doctor, so he is best getting his advice from other sources. By the way, his biological mother might well have dialysis options.
Once Anna called his boss, the gloves are off. He did not have to worry about being the bad guy after that. At this point, he's defending himself and he has every right to do so.
The woman couldn’t spare a single cent in OPs upbringing or give him something to set him up for his future just based on the fact that OP is her son. Rather she has money to buy his kidney.
A- may be is dead B-may be he never knowed about him.. C- A made Up storie that the author dont think that détail would be relevant to the pacing of His storie
I would’ve definitely said something “unforgivable”, just to get her to leave me alone. Something like, “Just die already, so I can go back to living my life without you in it, like I have been doing for the past 20 years.” 🤷♂️😅 I wouldn’t post it on Reddit though, because I know I’m an asshole. 😂👍🏻
This is the family values in America. I can Imagine the ordeal a five year old boy experienced. but it seems it is very obvious that social values are different. Like he says he is planning for marriage with Emily but it looks he is already living with her. And it seems it is normal for them. strangely socking.
Know that I’m only 10 minutes in: It is one thing for the OP to turn down because of emotional manipulation however, if there’s money involved, you can leverage that to get all you need if not more if you are a match and squeeze it for everything she’s worth for abandoning you. Squeeze her for everything she’s worth I say.
Why is Anna not getting her two daughters tested?
They are out-of-bounds, is it?
And OP is dispensible to Anna.
My takeaway, Emily is super supportive
Forgiveness is for yourself. Not for the person who hurt you.

OF COURSE they only show up when they need something after 20 years of not speaking to you!

Someone telling you to call her mom should have fired back that OP has a mom and it isn't her
A person can live with one kidney, Anna will be fine.
I can't imagine a woman doing this to her own son.
Also, why there is no mention of his father??
I wondered the same thing
A- may be is dead
B-may be he never knowed about him..

Remember ppl, only forgive inside your hearth. But dont let those horrible ppl know about it, only if is in public and you come out morally on top
What makes the Mother and siblings think OP is even a match when they aren’t? Why not check the Aunt? Doesn’t make sense 😢
So, the salutaion at the end is the new cliché of the AI's Bingo Card, along "whirlwind/rollercoaster of emotions" and others.
I swear these stories are written by therapist s😮
A lot of these stories do seem to be shilling for the therapy industry.
It's amazing that some people abandon their children and when they need a kidney they feel entitled to one.
Remembers Anna but was surprised about the adoption? thinks grandparents weren't in contact with anna
He did not grow up feeling unwanted he didn't know he was adopted.

If she got the kidney, she would just disappear again.

Did they test her in-house kids or husband?
no idea if it's AI or you reading, but this is a very nice voice ^_^
Bro dumb as hellll

What kind of minecraft is this?
It's annoying listen all history involving therapist is a kind of lobby or something who wrote that kind of history?
My self I left because I would end up in jail my xwife always trying to pick a fight.
