I admire Emily for standing up for her faith and her beliefs. Also, I'm so glad there are still people that care about grammatically correct language.Stay strong, Emily. That green yarn is amazing. Love it!
It was great getting to meet you Emily. I am branching out into crochet and supporting "regular people" in crafting, so will go visit your blog 😊 I have been pausing, unsubscribing, and deleting the companies that are in your face Pride. Pride comes before the fall, I hope they are ready.
Great episode! I don’t know anything about tech editing, so it was interesting to learn more about it all! I am Catholic too and it was unusual to hear phrases like “Theology of the Body” on a knitting podcast! 😁
Thank you for sharing Emily! I had started following you rather recently as I’ve been trying to learn about the world of tech editing. Even though I’m not a crocheter, I appreciated how you blended faith with business. As a fellow Catholic, I had been trying to decide if I would bring faith into a business that isn’t specifically faith-based, and what that might look like. It feels like the last few years fiber arts, like everything else, have become increasingly divided. I attended a knitting retreat (and some online forums) where seemingly out of nowhere people started trashing Catholics and I was starting to feel alone in the knitting community. I’m so glad I was introduced to PIK and realized that there still are other conservatives who knit & crochet.
Another wonderful show! It was so interesting to learn about what a tech editor does and to hear about Emily’s journey to becoming one. And Emily, I am also very serious about grammar. Also, that green yarn looks gorgeous. It’s just begging to become a Slytherin accessory . 🐍
@@politicallyincorrectknitters Noooo… I’m on episode 118 now. 😅 But with everything that has been going on in politics I really want to hear what you girls have to say. As I am watching older videos, with my current knowledge about past events, I realized you and Anne made so many on point predictions and observations. I don’t want to miss those. And I feel we need to band together and support each other during these times of turmoil for America.
"I'm sorry, did my face say that out loud?" I have a face that can't stop telling everyone what I'm thinking too! I am taking the TKGA knitting tech editing course and, while it is challenging, I love it! I was always really good at math in school but hated it because I didn't see the point. Now that the numbers and formulae relate directly to pretty knitted stuff, I really enjoy it. I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who loves the technical parts as well as the pretty parts of fiber crafting!
Emily, I am so sorry for what is happening in your life at the moment. It all sounds painful and unsettling. I’ll be praying for God to bring peace to your heart 💜✝️
It was nice to "meet" you Emily. I'm a fellow Catholic as well and I'm sorry to hear you were discriminated against pretty obviously for your faith. It seems being openly Catholic (and Christian in general) puts a pretty big target on our backs these days. Jesus did say that the world would hate us because it hated Him....though that still doesn't make it easy! God bless you and your family, Tricia
This was a great episode. What happened to Emily is happening to so many across this great country of ours. We all need to stand up and defend ourselves and find our own ways. look at what you an Ann have created from the Ravelry debacles. From that horrible experience we know have Blocked Magazine, Neil( of course Neil) , Liz and her gang from Knitnite, Amy from Twosisters ans some yarn and so many more! From the ashes rises the Phoenix, or something like that. Your PIK program is great and it gives a voice to us like minded crafters that feel shit out by the "mean girsl" , LOL 😜- After what happened this week, we need to be louder and more righteous then ever !
Great show - it is so ridiculous when people who claim to worship "tolerance" are not tolerant of anyone who will not spout all the slogans all the time.
What can you say? The accepting left does not accept diversity of thought...I hope all goes well for you, Emily. Tech editing sounds like a fascinating skill! Good for you!
It amazes me that those who demand acceptance aren’t willing to accept anyone different from themselves. And they demand validation. If you’re going to go public with your hurt feelings you’ll need to bring receipts.

Fascinating episode. Stay strong, ladies! 💪 The truth will set you free!

DK and Anne using their negative experiences to strengthen and encourage others - excellent work, Ladies.

Thank you for introducing me to Emily 😊
I'm so grateful that you interviewed Emily. It's good to know you're there to support her.

Great episode with Emily.
It was such a delight to "meet" Emily. I'm not a designer, but if I was, I would be her customer!
That green! Thank you, Emily for sharing your story!
Great interview! Stay strong and keep on doing you!❤

I know the guest interview wasn't expected, but we recorded early because Anne was out of town.
That is a gorgeous green Lynn! Great show as always, ladies. This month is going to be full of these kinds of situations, unfortunately .

You said what I was thinking towards the end of the episode ... well said!!!
Love that beautiful green!!!!

I love this! I’m so into crochet right now. I’m hoping to check out your ebooks! ❤
Sharks hug with their mouths? That's "Jawsome"! ❤❤🦈🦈😂😂
Amen Emily on all beauty does point us in the direction of God.

As I've heard said " Let go and let God ". Ask God to bless you anyway.
I am so tired of the "tolerant" left. They are tedious.
