I don't want to be that guy, but grinding without a guard is putting your safety on a 3/16th thick material most likely made in China (quantity over quality over there). My wife is an x-ray tech and told me about a guy came in missing 3 fingers at the 3rd knuckle (closest to the hand) because a cutoff disk blew up. Stay safe so I can keep watching your videos
I agree 100%. Sort of. I think it's a bigger problem to not wear gloves while grinding and everyone on youtube grinds bare handed. The gloves I have are kevlar cut resistant gloves and they are very cut resistant. It takes a razor blade several attacks to cut through. I've touched these to the grinder a few time and they hold up well. But, you're right. With the force of a disc exploding the big problem is the velocity of those discs. I'll see if I can find my guard and put it on 👍

Hi, yes a true EDC, carried on belt, vertical or horizontal or something in between, direct accessible, opening the salami package, cutting the bread, salami, putting some butter on the bread. A cup of good coffee, and there You have a moment of bliss, in a busy day. And done with this little bundle of Joy.
This is a beautiful knife! I know you're not fond of making sheaths, but it would be nice to show the sheathing process with the knife build since the two, knife and sheath, go hand in hand. Also, could you do a video on the different types of kydex sheaths, the folded over, pancake sheath vs the two piece cut out, and in which situations you choose one over the other? And as a fan, it would be nice of you to show more about the actual every day, "simple little life," like the deck build, tending to the cattle, etc. Keep up the videos!
I have a bunch of combine chopper blades. I’d like to send you a few to see what u can make out of them. This size of knife or a little larger would be all you can make out of it though.
I really like this style of video! Thank you! I have 3 questions. 1. What type and where do you get the pliers that you used to fold the stainless foil packet? 2. What is the purpose of the baby powder in the packet? 3. What did you do in the blast cabinet after etching the maker's mark? I tried that once but washed out the edges of the mark so that it wasn't crisp.
The pliers are Hand Seamers used for HVAC. The baby powder is to burn and use up any oxygen in the pouch during the heat treat so that it doesn't oxides the blade. That's a mystery to me, but I think that he was blasting the other side of the blade.
Hi Jeremy. Awesome work here. I'm a Big fan of your channel. I was wondering, how is the cutting edge quench? I saw you plate quench it but you make the bevel before so there must be no contact betwen the cutting edge and the quenching plates. Can you tell us a bit more about that?
Hi, I do leatherworking and the clamp pliers you use @ 10:35 would be perfect for leatherwork! Do you by chance remember where you go them or what they're called? Thank you
You are 100% correct. That one was a voice over and a few of the tools and processes have changed. Since I was making the knife anyway I figured I might as well make a video. Thank you so much for your support! I really do appreciate it. 👍

You think they would adapt to the changing makers movement and expand their base. Start carrying more maker related products.

The step heating it in the packet, is that a temper or a hardening process? I haven't seen other builders online use that method.
