I must have gotten a good card. I have the 2070S (bought before the shortage thankfully), and its the Aorus OC model, so +15 in the BIOS. I made no adjustments to the power delivery (cannot afford to risk burning it out), but my OC is +130 (plus the 15 stock, so really 145) in the core, and +900 in the memory. Got about 6 FPS in 4K.
    Really happy with the result.

hey just watched your video and noticed you missed a very crucial step, after you set your sliders all the way to the rihgt you have to hit the check mark to save the settings before running the OC scanner otherwise you run your scan for your previous settings, if you notice your overvoltage is at 0% and it should be at 100% if you did this again you would see that it helps a little more than just a few frames!

I have found that to properly apply the auto overclock, once the scan is done, click the check to apply the overclock that was just transferred. You can then test it. If you get 90% or higher confidence, you are good to go. I found that after I scanned, if I tested immediately after, the overclock would go away on Afterburner.
TL;DR: Follow the steps in the video, once you're done scanning, click the check to apply the overclock, test to make sure you get 90% or higher (if not, reset settings and scan again and re-test till you do), then save the overclock to a profile and you're done! Then you can tinker with the memory clock (don't have to, but its up to you).

Hi RA visuals, I know this video is a bit old now but was using your guide and have a few questions.
Firstly I'm new to PC in terms of overclocking and all. I understand what it does just not sure how to do it.
So I noticed you used MSI afterburner, is this all I need or do I need 3dmark as well? - No luck downloading off steam it just wont, even after a restart.
I used the same settings as you when running OC and I can see what its doing by the changing the coreclock and measuring what this system can push safely.
So do I need to run a bench mark or can I just let MSI afterburner run a stable OC and work with that?

As a complete noob when it comes to Hardware or PC in general, can someone tell me if Overclocking a GPU will reduce it's life span? I bought a 2070 Super and It says 1 click OC in the box (I don't know if that changes anything). I got the overclocking right, everything working 100% fine, got around 10 FPS more. But I'm worried that overclocking will eventually break it. I made research online and people say that the only concern I should have is with the GPU's temperature. I get around 60ºC when playing with the settings full maxed out. (Call of Duty is one example) So yeah... Should I just not OC or are there really no problems?

Hey i know this is an older video, but i noticed after your final test you said it started to get up to 80 degrees C. I also noticed you did not mess with your fan curve at all. I have a 2080 super and after watching a ton of videos like yours, I got mine up to +130cc and +1200mc with an adjusted fan curve (I dont know what a 2080 will do but I know it could go higher with an adjusted fan curve). I stress tested it on 3d mark and got a 98.4% success rate (3d mark says 97% and above is a successful result). I don't know if you already knew this or not, but just wanted to kinda flex a little bit LOL and get the word out to ya. I've played a ton of hours on cod, warzone, and valorant and my temps barely ever hit 73 degrees C. P.S. not everyones gpu will hit the same overclock because of quality of thermals and other things. Do not be afraid to overclock gpu's because manufacturers dumb down the performance. BUT!!! do it safely with multiple tests and increase numbers slowly!!!!!!!!!
