He's obsessed in getting his vengeance, no matter what. In short, he's gone full Sasuke Uchiha (before Sasuke changed). In fact, one of his win quotes against Chun-li when beating her is "Get in my way again and I'll kill you where you stand". Capcom is more in tune to the idea of pairing Chun-li up with Ryu (since they always appear together in crossovers and in one official comic, they were a thing), and even though Capcom stated that they're just friends, they also put them together AGAIN for the 1000th time in a POCKY merchandise. If you don't know, POCKY is heavily-associated with couples in Japan.
