  • I am known for being good at rope climbs, but this combo gets tough even for me! The leg burn is soooo deep, which I think you can tell by my sprint to the finish! 😂😂😂 Give it a shot and let me know how it goes in the comments below!

Hey, Cole, I was wondering if you had any tips for me on rope climbs, I can climb up but its the descent that gives me trouble.

Hey Cole, was watching your video with my 4 year old bro and when you started doing the rope climbs, he said, "Of course I could do that too!"

Hey Cole! Looks like you are kicking off 2020 season training at high intensity, brother:) I am going to give this one a try tonight. Quick question, for trying to build squat strength (I want to be at 315 by the end of year), do you suggest a 5x5 program or what?
    Looking forward to your season:)

Hey, just curious about technique. I noticed you take to climbs to get to the top whereas it takes me an easy one. It made me curious if you simply find that more efficient or what the case was. I'm about 6 foot in height, which I don't think is too much taller than you but idk. Anyways, I'm obviously not any better cause I'm not heading to the games anytime soon, just curious.

Ha! Love this questions, Kyle! -- It is just a matter of preference. The rope climb is sped up on the decent more than the ascent. So by doing two quick pulls (notice I move fast enough to let go of the rope completely with both hands) I keep myself in a nice upright position and that allows me to fall sooner after I touch the top because my foot tie is not to large or tight. Just a preference thing. =) Hope you are well!

Our gym only has tall ropes (25’) but I’m interested in trying this one out. What do you suggest to get the same stimulus? I want to take advantage of my motivation because I am not usually a fan of the rope!

If you can do rope climbs, I would recommend just climbing part way up the rope, approximately 15' or whatever you're comfortable with. If you would rather not do rope climbs, you can substitute 3 strict pull-ups or ring rows for each rope climb. Have fun!
