Are banh mi sandwiches the perfect food?
I've been enjoying Vietnamese banh mi for almost as long as I can remember. I have fond childhood memories of visiting the Ba Le location on Kingsway and Fraser 30+ years ago when sandwiches were only $2.
Prices have changed, but the enjoyment of biting into a perfect French baguette filled with pate, Vietnamese cold cuts, and pickled daikon has not changed.
Now there's a Ba Le location on Rupert Street near 22nd Avenue and they serve Hanoi Drip Coffee specialty drinks!
