  • Here’s my progression of figure skating over the last 4 years! I first stepped on the ice on the 2nd of January, but started learn to skate lessons on January 9th, 2015. Yesterday, January 9th, 2019, makes my 4 year anniversary of skating! I can’t believe it’s been that long, honestly. I also never thought I was going to stick with it this long! And I had no clue I had it in me to get to where I am today. Also, I had sooo many clips, but I didn’t include them all, otherwise this video would be hours long! And I couldn’t find any clips from about the first 8 months I skated. I did take some off my Instagram haha! So most these clips are from basic 7/8 and Freeskate 1 up until videos from last week! I am very thankful for this sport and my family for supporting me. Starting skating lessons has to be one of the best decisions I’ve ever made! I can’t wait to see what this next year has in store. This video was very fun for me to make, just because it made me more aware of my accomplishments and how far I’ve really come! It’s made me more thankful and helped me to give myself more credit than I normally give myself. Anyways, enjoy this video! Please subscribe I’ve if you haven’t already! I post lots of skating videos :D

      @@michiko4079 Im sorry but 15 may be too late, some people already are competing in the Olympics by 15 years old. But perhaps if you work hard you could compete at the senior level and do some national competitions before your into your 20s. Nothing is impossible💕

      Teens is too late for the Olympics but the Olympics is not the be-all end-all of figure skating. There are plenty of other competitions you could do starting later. I know people who compete in the adult figure skating circuit who started in their 20s, 30s, 40s, and even later.

      @@michiko4079 hi it depends how fast you progress just know that you do have to have doubles and triples so if you can progress quick enough I say sure.

      Yea you can definitely learn a axel it only takes about 1-2 years to get to that point for most people

      @HaleyWest  3 года назад

      Hey! I'm a bit late to this comment, but its never too late to start skating! I started 4 months before I turned 14! You'd be surprised how far you can go with it if you're really dedicated! And you can learn an axel at almost any age! I know adults who have learned to do them as well :) Good luck to you!

      @HaleyWest  3 года назад +1

      Hi! I used to train anywhere from 10-15 hours a week! This was pre-rona :) Now my schedule looks a lot different, still looking for ice time since lots of rinks closed, etc.
