  • HUNGRY FOR THE TARGET!
The first step in archery, (which is the art of reaching the target), is to achieve the proper technique.
After a while, adjusting the technical form to our personality, shooting became actually the reflection of our inner attitude, a method of self-expression.
Beginners or accomplished archers, we're struggling to hit the target.
Our hard practice and research to find and follow the right ways to become successful "archers", it came also with a parallel experience about our inner natures.
Any knowledge ultimately led to self-knowledge.
Trying to do always the best, pushing continuously the personal limits, we start to experience hidden aspects about ourselves during the daily practice or competitions.
That's feels as a continue hunger for discovering new horizons of being, new possibilities and connections...
At the end, this hunger will teach you how to shoot, will teach you everything!
    It is said:
"For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also." (Matthew, 6-21, Luke 12-34)
    Keep your hearts always hungry,
    HUNGRY FOR THE TARGET!
(In this video, adjusted by Katariina Cozmei, I use one 37#/28" symmetrical Living Arrow bow made by Imre Tarcsi Veres, carbon arrows (355 grains, 28") equipped with large size Koç nocks from Emrah Koç, and a Living Arrow Flying quiver made by myself.) - Mihai Cozmei

    Economy of movement.

It's brilliant and intuitive, the way you use the top limb to "guide" the arrow into position. You can really connect with the arrow as soon as it leaves the quiver. And so consistent! Excellent!

Good technique to grab the arrow straight at the noc

Actually he doesn't grab the nock but just below the fletching, he taught me a way to index the nock with out needing to look but an ingenious feel method and if you like I would share this method 😉

Salam & Peace to all. Thank you Mr Cozmei, the slow down footage is helpful. I’ve been practising from your “My personal method...” video and I can’t seem to get right the backward movement of the draw hand upon release without actually interfering with the movement of the arrow. If you could do a video about this and a slow-mo close up that would be greatly appreciated.

you close your eyes several time during load, is there a purpase for that?
Also before release one eye is closed.

No, Mihai is not closing his eyes. It’s called blinking and of course if the video is slowed very much the blink lasts longer 😆 Also he does not close one eye before release, we dont shoot with one eye. You want them super wide open for the next? 😁 (sorry, just sometimes these comments.......)

@@LAHBA He does it on every reload like a pattern, always the same way.
We are not allowed to blink at all or not look on the target(checking nocking or follow arrow alignment), thats way it was noticed be me.
The closing of the right eye is a sign of shoting by eye. Which eye is more dominant?

@@acsimark I don't know who is "we" but we are allowed to blink especially shooting in whoppin 20 C below zero and in bright light from the snow. He is NOT closing his eyes for God's sake, for sure you are familiar with some people squinting the eyes especially in very bright light. I have no idea how you make this as a problem --- we horseback archers for sure are allowed to blink during our runs and I'll bet you Mihai does not need to look the nocking after doing horseback archery professionally for more than 20 years.

@@LAHBA check the video of Shower Shooting and the "slavic release" slow down to 0.25.
We are allowed no eye contact loss with the target,(nocking or fletchet position check) as the first arrow is used for targeting, the arrows after it are redirected by the experiance of the first arrow closing more to the middle. My experiance is that, if you blink than this grouping progress gets canceled. Usually it means someone use eye targeting.
Does He use 2 or 3 fletch arrows?

    • @LAHBA
      @LAHBA  3 года назад +1

@@acsimark 3 fletches and all the same colour and the nock turned 90 degrees so it doesnt matter which fletch is where. Normal in HBA. I need to clarify this once more -- we are not practising ground archery for ground archery but practising to shoot better on a galloping horse. The grouping is not the goal for it's own sake at all like in basic ground archery, the goal is to shoot effectively, fast, accurate on a galloping horse to different directions, distances and targets (normal, 3D etc). You should keep this in mind when you compare basic ground archery with horseback archery. If you have seen some other tutorials, Mihai has explained he aims with his bowhand, not with the arrow. I do not unfortunately know what you mean by eye targeting.
