- NEW LIVING ARROW SIDE-BACK QUIVER,
AND THE CHECKED LOADING TECHNIQUE
The new model of the Living Arrow side-back quiver was redesigned for having the arrows in a more compact arrangement, parallel with each other instead of being spread in a "V" form as a fan, (how were previously).
This particular disposal was made with the intention of creating a kind of "arrow wall" touching from behind the rear shoulder, in order to improve further the quality of the loading phase.
As a result, the external part of the drawing arm moving backwards at release, comes naturally in contact with the next arrow to be shot, pressing slightly sideways on it.
Using this contact point as guide, the archer's forearm rolls upwards along the shaft, till the hand is able to grasp safely and surely the nock.
Well, this careful loading method is even more effective and effortless when is timed and follows the specific dynamic of the release.
As a part of the double release, the rear elbow moves straight away from the target in a form of "backward punch".
More specifically, according with Saracen Archery, the archer moves his rear elbow as he would intend to strike someone situated immediately behind him.
It's an elastic motion as when a ball thrown against a wall it bounces back in the opposite direction.
But actually, the rear hand's speed is increased in two steps:
At the moment of the impact, the elbow stops, but the forearm continue moving opening upwards like rising a sword, till becomes completely aligned with the "arrow wall"...
Then it bounces back like a window slammed into the wall by the wind (the wind being the backward punch itself), in a form of a downward sword cut, while the elbow starts moving again forward.
The archer has the opportunity to grasp the next arrow exactly during the turning point, when the hand slows down naturally.
By doing this means to use the energy of release further for reloading.
Obviously, the arrows should be enough stable, in order to resist against this intentional touch, but in the same time, easily to be drawn out from the quiver with minimal effort.
With this purpose, the quiver's body was made broader, with the leather loops in between the arrows made considerably longer compared with the previous model.

In this video I used one new, updated model of Tornado bow from the PhoenixArchery.eu
It's very stable, precize, fast and easy to draw.
Even if the maximum draw length of this bow (31-32#/28"), overexceeds my personal drawing length (27.5"), it works incredible well.
Is highly recommended for all kinds of archery and drawing methods.
Special thanks to Istvan Bows Szalóki!

Mr. Cozmei, you are the best, it was only thanks to you that I started shooting.
A very nice quiver and it seems comfortable to use in fast shooting
I really like this one. It doesn't stick back as much.
Has Mr. Cosmei ever done a video about the arrows he uses. I can see he has really interesting knocks and ends of the arrows which appear thicker and easier to handle, with fletches lower down.
HHi mr Cozmei, do you use tornado I or II ?
Honan tudok vasarolni azt a quiver es menni bekerul?
This one might be more suitable for my need than the previous models. Can it be equipped ambidextrously? I shoot both hand equally and want to use a quiver that I can use for both side. I asked this question on email while ago but haven't gotten an answer yet.
Hi! Sorry for missing your email, didnt find one? 😮 😔 These quivers are not ambidextrous because of the angle that makes them so fast to shoot.
@@LAHBA I see...thank you for the answer. I might still want this quiver if I don't find better one for me.
How does it cope with hunting broadheads?
It's not for that. It's for dynamic target shooting like horseback archery :) -Katariina
