The worst part about our team is depth. We basically run a 7 man rotation our starting line up plays 36-40 mins a game and the expectation is for them to shoot 3s? they don't have their legs under them. that's why I think they're hesitating.
Exactly and playing high intensity defense on the other end while doing so. They have no legs and shots have been short. Otherwise they’re shooting too hard from over compensating it has to be the depth

The lack of depth is the perfect storm….Devin Carter being out, Mitchell being traded and Lyles playing bad all converging to make a lack of depth. Plus nobody from the last few drafts doing much. Colby Jones and others. I still think the team will be fine. It’s going to be a rough patch though.
Don't like Harden shooting free throws? Then don't foul him. He gets to the line because he's strong as a bull, explosive first step, great step back and of course the assist game. Don't hate the player, hate the game.
They need to have Murry go back to what he did the first season as a spot up shooter and not your top defender for the first quarter to get him going then once he’s got his game going then put him on the other teams top player for defense. We need him to get his 3’s back in rhythm then add in the rest. We want him to grow so fast but it’s showing that it’s a little too much to have him do everything with out a break at this point.
I keep wanting to come here after each game and comment, but, honestly, this season has been the first in a while I cant get a strong feel for the team. This feels like one of those seasons where you have to re-evaluate where the team is every twenty games or so. Not even ten games in yet. No clue what the issue is with 3's. but one can only hope this part of the game works it self out over time. I feel bad for Trey, I want him to play better, but I feel like he kinda started behind the "basketball eightball" here, coming in cold, from injury, getting back in shape on the court. I feel Trey is gonna work this out... I blame Brown. Something about the way Brown has gotten into these players' heads. At the NBA level, Wide open threes are about mental state. Contagion is not real, the problem is hearing your coaches voice in your head.
That's not a coach issue. It's a player to be ready mentally and physically...etc... that's not his job to baby then. They are paid to produce and execute.

When the bench sucks, and you have 4 DNPs time to sprinkle some minutes around and let opportunity shine.

This is why Coach Mike, needs to play Fox Malik Keegan Trey and Sabonis lineup a lot!!! Demar is not a catch and shoot guy! When Demar touches the ball, the Kings offense stops, everyone watches. Remember the following series, Clippers hit a 3, Demar missies a 2, Clippers hit another 3. Kings only took 26 three pointers. Not good!
I just asked Google to do the math for me and it seems as if Sacramento shot just over 11% from the 3-point line.😮 Also James harden is also my least favorite player. The league had pretty much slowed down his foul baiting but it does pop up every once in a while. Scott Foster doesn't help.
Bad 3pt isnt main reason kings lost it. From the start team looked sloppy and lacked efford. At home. In game 8 of season. You have to have plan b and plan c before game. There were none. Lac shot 47% from deep. And still was kinda a close game. You have to find a way to win such ugly games. Derozan had a bad game and still played like 40 mins. Why not to give some of his minutes to monk? Why not to try doug when you cant hit a shot? Sabonis had 9/10 from 2. Why not to ask him shoot more? So many talks about that off rebounding and while you shoot 3/26 you have 6 off rebounds.. if you cant hit a sh.. then at least play hard.. this team doesnt look as serious and it looks dont even try to be such. I am starting to think this team (coach included) cant be fixed.

If sacramento will not going to change their lineup pretty sure they will not going to reached playoffs again. Just take a look at the teams in the west Rockets, memphis, dallas, gsw and minnesota all this teams improved significantly and I don’t think kings can beat any of this teams. Called it early on, not even a play-in team. Why, Offensive sets more slow paced. This team is best with no half court pace . Three pt shots from standing terrible but moving catch and shoot very good. So why abandon run and gun stop slow paced half court pace.

It actually does make sense that we're not good at threes. Our 3 top players are each known for not being good three point shooters over the totality of their careers. Lol. Fox had one good season out of 7. Sabonis has never been a volume 3-pt guy by any stretch. Derozan's lack of threes goes without saying. Monk is 35% for his career. Keegan had one year at 40%, then got a little more buff, then had one year at 35%. Huerter is pretty much our only guy who has a career long track record of being a high caliber three point shooter, but, news flash, he hasnt knocked them down consistently for any significant stretch of games since MARCH OF 2023

If I'm not mistaken, the playoff year were outliers for both Keegan and Kevin. Don't know why we keep expecting them to return to their peak selves.
All this was clear before season. And all they did added one shooter and keep him benched.
