@ChenKyrie928 that's very kind of you. I think most people are confused BEFORE they get to China on what visa if any they need which depends on which country their passport is and whether they are transiting through China. The rules change regularly. Do you want to teach me Chinese remotely. I can pay via WeChat or Ali Pay
Thanks for the information. But I am a little confused: according to the the website of the Chinese Embassy in Germany you can travel 30 days without visa for touristic and commercial purposes. Furthermore there were no specific provinces pointed out. There are only some provinces, where other rules get applied: Tibet, Hainan, Hongkong and Macao. That is the information that I can get here in the West.
The German has 30-day visa free to visit China while US is excluded, however, the American can visit China with 10-day transition visa free, with specific airports allowed to enter. The German can land any airports of China ,no restriction.
Thanks for letting me know! I just looked into it and I will add the additional info in a tagged comment! I was not aware that there were several countries with 30-day visa free access! Thanks for enlightening me! See pinned comment for more details :)
The key question: one round trip ticket does not qualify for this visa free transit visit: e.g. the trip from USA to CHINA then return to USA will not work under this policy
As long as you are a normal lawful visitor, you don't need to worry about anything. Of course, if you are a criminal, racialist, or culture hater, no country would welcome ya.
Hi can you travel to and from different ports or you have to enter and leave from the same port? Previously it was if you enter, for example, beijing you have to leave via beijing only. TIA!
@jt6231 sorry I should have clarified, UK passport, regarding the new transit visa rules, I know the previous rules you couldn't, but unclear of the new rules as it mentions cross province travel (I'm assuming that means you can travel from one province to another) but nothing about entering and exiting from the same province/port
@@ruzibee3201 I just checked for you. It is not necessary to exit from the same port where you entered. Any departure port is acceptable. Currently, basically every provincial capital city in China can be used for entry and exit (except for Tibet and three or four other provinces). Everything else is very convenient and free.
Only if you are not staying in a hotel. Hotels will deal with registration for you. You also do not need to register if you don't stay in the city for longer than 24 hours.
I would wish for 30 days tranist visa from Chinese government if possible :) In my last trip, I got to visit all the places I wanted in about 20ish days, and I still got myself a few days of spare time to do the shopping. My itinerary were Beijing-6 days, Shanghai-15 days, Hangzhou-7 days, I had visted water park, disneyland, those ancient temples and forbidden city, great wall, the usual. Took a few photos with my trusty canon r10. Although I visted all the touristy spots, I couldn't shake the feeling that I barely scratched the surface, I was only able to explore a few suburbs / districts in each city in my spare moments without a guide, got a glimpse of the non-touristy china, didn't understand a word, but it was fun.
