Thanks Chris. It was a brilliant sunny day. Maybe even a little too warm. Sometimes its nicer to have a cold day, at least you can adjust the layers.

Alyn, that was some day overhead and underfoot to walk to the summit of Trostan☀Loved the fall down the hole and I think I have come across that chair too😊 Fantastic information and graphics throughout and great encouragement for others to give it a try👍

Thanks Gerry! It was so hot that day too. Was definitely much harder than it probably would have been in normal temperatures but it has such a beautiful view at the top across the plateau.

I did this yesterday following the AllTrails route and I'm not sure how but my route looked much more foresty and way boggier, I mean ankle-deep-in-mud boggier! I did seem to be following the Moyle Way but some of the Way-Markers were in the middle of swamps so maybe it's just rained a lot recently?

It certainly can be boggy!!! This video was shot on the hottest day of 2021 so the ground was very dry. It sounds like you followed the path up through the forest which does indeed bring you out to a boggy patch before the ascent to the top. Was it a good day?

@@walkwatchers It was very drizzly at times and then absolutely gorgeous five minutes later! Typical Ireland!

Hi, I plan to climb Trostan in the near future. Did you park at Glenariff Forest Park?

Hey Ciaran, Its such a lovely walk, quite straightforward and if the weather is good it can be a real pleasure.
We parked at the entrance to the forest at the base of the mountain. If you have what3words i parked at typified.locals.villa

Only thing I say about Trostan is awful, dam awful hill. Worst boggy ascent in the Glens. Ticked it off years ago and will never return. Great channel no ate. Only found you today but some real personal content. Loved your devil's coach road vid.

Lol. This is true. The Glens and plateau can be really boggy and wet!!! Trostan is no exception but on this one occasion, after several days of hot sunny days it was beautiful. It really is a matter of picking the right weather/ time/ moon phase/ magic spell and hoping the ground up there is a little drier than usual.
Thanks for the encouragement and the great comments. There's more to come.
