One of my favorite shows from the weekend. Loved watching them all 3 days and the uniform design was spot on to take pictures of. Some of my best photos from the weekend were of this band cause of how well the colors stood out.
@@paulmahaffey4793 are you sure about that? I saw them in competition and it seemed like they do. There is no way to get such clear woodwinds with that tonal quality. If you compare them to any other BOA band you can't hear the woodwinds like you can in this band.
@@overnightclassic2 It's great that you saw them and that you like the quality. Soloists and small groups are playing to mic's during those features on the sidelines. And, there are area mic's on stands along the edge that are intended to pick up the woodwinds at certain points. But, individuals are not microphoned.
It's hard to believe that this amazing performance, both musically and artfully done so well, is done by High School kids. That school can be proud!

Do they mic the woodwinds? I don't know any other bands doing this but it gives them a good sound.
