i just got out of the mental hospital on the 12th january and i honestly miss it so much. i stayed for over 3 months and it helped me really really much, i miss the nurses and patients and that i had a safe environment so i thank you for this

I went to the psych ward around this time last year and even though it was a somewhat unpleasant experience I still have an odd nostalgia for parts of it. I think what I really miss was being taken care of so much. It’s really hard always fending for yourself.
This one is kind of tough for me. I find myself constantly questioning everything Dr. Tay says. Ive been to one of these words before full disclosure, and after a really terrible experience I have been paranoid about doctors and hospitals in general ever since. Not distain mind you, just paranoia/anxiety. Nothing personal doc. I wonder if anyone else feels the same about this or has a similar outlook on psych services.
yes, i had two psych ward experiences: one was wonderful, and the other scarred me for life. some units are heaven and others make you wonder how this is legal. totally depends on the place. you’re not alone in your feelings ❤

Just an idea for the future, you could do another video of when the patient is upstairs on the psych floor and they go through taking obs and going through daily schedule etc.

Now days we have professional mental physicians and places that are helpful!

Thank you and how I got so interested in Mental Asylums is from watching documentary on the State Mental Hospital in my state and city I use to live in and it is so interesting to see how mental health was treated back then!

I think they are talking about when you asked “Are you male or female? You have to be really careful asking that nowadays.” I also thought it was weird phrasing and kind of threw me off the immersion factor, especially because I’m nonbinary.
