Really looking forward to this one. Singles have been great, and I'm hearing it's their best since Temple of Shadows.
Here's hoping!
You KNOW 👍💯
Great to see Angra here. I didn't know you like them. Please bring more videos about Angra and I will wait for the ranking. Cheers.
Great great album by Angra 🎉🤟🏼 as always! They never dissapoint 🔥
Go and do that ranking, Pete! You won't regret at all.
In my book, best brazilian band, and, of course, best latin band 🎸🤟🏼
Most talented power metal act of all time, nobody else in the PM game has the artistry and musicianship to pull off a body of work like Angra’s
Agreed! It's Angra and Galneryus, and then everybody else, for me. A cut above
@@georgelamie7001 if you end up doing a ranking with Pete and need a third guest who knows the Brazilian context well, I’d love to participate!
Love Angra lucky to see them @Wacken with Fabio 2015 amazing
I'm really looking forward to listening to this one as I'm a long time fan of the band, and now I'm also looking forward to the ranking you just mentioned. A rank of their catalogue was recently published on Angry Metal Guy, and that sparked some discussions due to beloved albums not being placed 'where they should'. Always fun to see someone else's take on these things.
Love the channel, keep up the good work!
Nice to see some brazilian metal here!! If you want to, I recommend Edu Falaschi's Vera Cruz, from Angra´s second lead singer who is currently in solo career. It is an awesome power metal album, also with brazilian elements into the sound. Cheers!
What a great album! Thanks Pete!!
Wow that will be a fantastic show with George looking forward.
17th November great day to new DGM and new Eldritch 🤘🤘🤘
You don’t know how excited I am to hear you are doing a ranking of the Angra albums. They are one of my favorite bands, and am excited to see how you and George rank them, even if it may differ from mine.
All their albums are at least good imo, they haven’t released anything bad. Even though it won’t make an album ranking, I still recommend at least listening to their EP, Hunters and Prey. The title track almost made the Rebirth album, and has some underrated gems. Plus an interesting cover of Mama by Genesis. Thanks again for such enjoyable content!
Great review. I will have to listen to this. Omni was a great one.
Think Pete and I mirror one another with these guys, followed them earlier on then drifted away. Will definitely give this one a good listen!
For me, this band never disappoints. This new album is very good. But so are the last 2 with Fabio. After the first 3 classics with Andre Matos, they did 4 albums, and an EP with singer Edu Falaschi. I HIGHLY recommend the first two with Edu; Rebirth, and Temple of Shadows. This is definitely a favorite band of mine. Hope you enjoy!
No surprise that Wednesday brings yet another band around for some time that was never on the personal radar. See that the album won't be fully available for listening until later this week. Listened to an available excerpt or two. Will give it a full listen once available, including the Vida Seca. Thanks for including this one in the weekly new product episodes - where Wednesday goes for new music.
Pls listen to their "Temple of Shadows" album. You won't regret it.
I only have "Temple of Shadows," but I do have "Symphony of Enchanted Lands" by Rhapsody of Fire which has Fabio Lione on vox.
Obrigado!
I haven't heard this yet and I'm sure it's cool. The Fabio stuff has been good so far. My favourite though is that "middle" period with their second singer, Edu Falasci (sp). Some of that stuff was so progressive and awesome. Albums like Temple of Shadows and Aurora Concergens are just really good music with lots of variety and grandeur. Great singing too. The 90s stuff with matos has some very good songs but in general I don't think I'm as into it. Still cool though.
Yes after couple of albums fell out with Dragonforce that said Marc Hudson's solo album is good.
My personal ranking would be:
Aqua, Fireworks, Secret Garden (all 8pts).
Aurora Consurgens, Omni, Cycles of Pain (all 9pts)
Holy Land, Rebirth, Angels Cry, Temple of Shadows (All 10pts)
