Anthony so humble and honest… that take on lack of motivation was spot on
Dom still bitter about that loss. He hasn’t been able to let it go, and it’s all in his body language and demeanor. He’s a talented fighter, but I’d venture to say a lot of his struggles in his fights Post-Jones, are rooted in that. I bet if he can get over that, we see a resurgence from him. He’s an example of how important the mental side of the fight game is.
Totally, can't let it go. Almost seems as if he truly believe the world should be talking about him as the greatest ever, because he's convinced he beat him. Regardless of if he did or didn't, the judges didn't think so, end of story.

The fact that he didn't just suck it up, life is full of unfair moments everyone has to deal with, and go on to prove he is the better man (losing 4 in a row after that, hasn't done much for him), says a lot about him.

Reyes started each round with a flurry and then after a minute he was back peddling missing most of the shots he threw and was taken down in rounds 3, 4, and 5.
Jones won that fight 4 rounds to 1. People are so delusional. Not only did 2 judges give Jones round 2, but they also gave Jones round 3. All 3 judges gave Jones rounds 4 and 5.
Everyone just hated Jones so much by that fight, they would believe anything and all stroke each other off about it.

Anthony Smith has won me over as a fan. He comes off so genuine and honest. I understand what Dom was saying but you cannot tell someone else what motivates them. Jon may felt he was not motivated to fight him no one is in his mind. I remember when Nunes loss to Peña she was recovering from covid and had major life changes. She may not have been motivated or just loss no one will know but her. However when she returned she found something that helped her reclaim her belt. It’s harder to stay at top than getting to top

I feel for Reyes. I think in his mind, he reached the pinnacle of the sport, defeated the goat, but then got robbed of it and I truly believe that that psychologically fucked Dom. Considering how his career turned out, I don’t blame him for tearing up. He could’ve been champ defending the belt getting insane money and ppv points, but because of a bad decision he is now on a bad losing streak of all knockouts on the verge of being cut. All those flurries he threw missed for the most part. Yes Reyes won 1-2 rounds (1 for absolute sure), but People hate on Jones because of his personal life and you all have the right to do so. But as a fighter and athlete, he's one of the best to ever do it and most certainly won that fight on points. The right decision was made.

10 times better than any promo for this fight. Hats off to Dan. You can see some conflicting within himself as he speaks at times, but he remains true. It reverberates with them and they all slowly let their guards down too. I'll take truth any way you slice it.
What i love about Daniel is his pure love of competition and competitors and being uncompromising in how he expresses it and always trying to find new ways to convey the feeling and magnitude of what it's like to compete with his colleagues at the highest levels for absolute glory and what makes them special as well
