- Follow Along as I head to @REALWatersports to pick up a 13 board Quiver of ...LOST, PYZEL, & AJW Surfboards that I had ordered last fall. Some were meant for home, some for Hawaii, but they all ended up arriving at once!! Hanging in the loft putting pads on boards, and stickering them up, join along as I reveal all I ordered.

I ordered a 6'4" J's schooner from Real,sick board paddles well!
its funny that a 6'4" is considered a gun. That's my everyday board size regardless of size.
So do you get everything out of each turn on a 2/3 foot wave?

Brett, what are your thoughts on trying a FRK i-Bolic board?? Curious to know your feedback if the tech is all hype, or how it compares to trad PU and Lightspeed…

Forget mexico, I used to ride a 6'10" mini-gun at 3-4 foot spanny haus quite often.
Was a blast. You guys go too short. People all into the "degrees of rotation" stuff these days - I blame Kelly for that one.

Can you really tell the difference between a couple of inches in length? I never could but then I never surfed as much as you. And a small swallow vs a classic round / round pin?
Oh gosh ya… 1” in length makes a big difference. 1/8” in width makes a huge difference. Volume accross the whole board changes with every tiny adjustment. I haven’t tried a swallow in big waves yet so we’ll see

Just to understand this Brett, what do you do for a living?
I'm a profesional surfer... I started my career at 18 somewhat in the contest realm, but mostly getting myself feature in surf magazines for the companies I rode for. My career has mostly revolved around tube riding. as things changed, it turned more digital focus, and video creation, and as print died I turned that into the Vlog. but I'm liable to O'Neill for photoshoots as an athlete (see their Summer '23 catalog) and creating content on my own throughout the year.

got it chiseled... there's a video about it coming once I can get it done. just got back in the water a week ago
@@brettbarley ya I started rocking ear plugs heavy 10 years back because my ears started closing from the cold water in here in cali.
Not interested in any sharp eye or Channel Islands? Be interested to see lots of different shapers because you don’t have a board sponser
REAL doesn’t carry SharpEye. But they just started carrying Channel Islands as of a week or 2 ago so I will be getting on some of those! These were just boards I ordered back in November that showed up in February.
