Thank you for this video! I'm 60k miles into a 93 tune from Stratified and have never looked back. I am itching to goto an E30 tune. I've got all the bolt on goodies and you're right, intercooler first.
Thanks this video is helpful, in fact it's like a prophesy of my life right now. I"m just starting the tuning process for e30 on my X47 Fiesta. The tester, the gas cans every so often, even your mention of crap ethanol mixes in Georgia, where I live! Was supposed to start today but after testing my e85 here it's only e30 so I'm heading up the road to a better station in the next day or so. Anyhow thanks again. 373 torque is not possible on a stock turbo, I've followed these cars for 3 years and ethanol tune is usually about 300-320 torque...the fact that it went from 319 then 317 then 373 is fishy, I wouldn't bank on that number, dyno must have slipped or some other issue, Alex or whoever at Stratified tuned your car would never do that to the car, and if you're on a canned OTS tune (not custom) which you seemed to indicate toward the end then yeah that tune is rated low 300s which is about the max on stock turbo and ethanol, safely anyway...and the OTS tune is very conservative/safe. FYI I'm sure you know this but there are some cheap apps that can do all the math on the spot on a phone. Good luck be safe enjoy the car.
I didn't know this at the time but the last pull was in 3rd not 4th and you can tell that was at 1750 rpms for a very short amount of time that the dyno was reading inaccurately i had to put it in there though at the time i knew almost nothing about dynos this is the first car ive ever had on one lol.
i have my escort ix mounted exactly like yours haha!! i have one mounted exactly there in my fiST, with the hardwire mute button beside my shifter. im on dizzys e40 tune and full bolt ons and its a hoot lol
@@velocityredspeed, does it matter when the 3 gallons of e85 get put in? Are you required to fill up from empty to get the best ratio of gas, as it can be pretty tricky mixing fuel once it's inside the tank lol
I went with Dizzy and have a E30 tune technically stage 2 FiST. I want to bring my car to a dyno here in San Diego just to see what it throws down specifically and compare it to the accessport “estimated” HP/TQ #’s
@@JohnnyBlaze6954 I'm not sure, but if you have an email, I can message you there and we can exchange more info there if you want. Nice, I currently reside in national city.
Pretty sure cobbs estimated numbers are right. Raced an ecoboost mustang with straight pipe, a 10spd auto one, pulled on it about a car on. Roll and a dig. Those are 310 hp and dyno about 280. They weigh 3600 pounds. To havr a similar power to weight ratio of need 220 whp or so. That be at sea level. I live at high elevation and we lose about 15 percent of our power at the wheels. My Cobb says I'm 195-200 estimated hp and 267 tq on my e30 dizzy tune with step colder plugs otherwise stock. Based on my race with that 10 spd ecoboost I'd say those numbers are right. Dizzy advertises 230 whp on e30 at sea level. Accounting for elevation that translates to the numbers the Cobb shows. Pretty sure it's right.
e30 tunes are slight different and need to be more accurate from the avg. "stage OTS, pre map" tunes. Due to the fact that ethanol has a high alcohol content, and has such a different combustion ratio to octane alone. Not to mention huuuuuuuuuge margins of e85 pumps across the country have been reported to be selling tap water ass e85.. And dont even sell full e85, you end up w/ watered down e60/70.. So, It is SUPER fuckin important to get ethanol testing kits, and to test your local e85 stations frequently. Then get a 'refined' e30 tune. For the absolute best results. Going to be as realistic too.. E30 is a mixture, and more than likely, 99.8% of the cars that run e30 tunes/E.mixture tunes? Are probably/more than likely defiantly not made for anything past like e15 @ the most lololol. Unless ofcourse they have proper tunes or flexfuel kits. So just be careful, and read up on how ethanol friendly your car is.. Before i went full e30 tune, id shoot like nothing more than barley half a gallon just to help my timing/bump my octane to like 94 maybe 95 if i was lucky, but it just the 1/2 made a difference lol. That shit is powerful. Just make sure you do your research for your own cars and see.
I make 297wtq 221whp on mustang dyno. My cars stock turbo 4th gear pull on a mustang dyno. That was after 5 pulls. Car only has whoosh v1 intercooler and downpipe and 3 inch straight pipe. So people saying maybe 300-310 on e30 and meth? You must be smoking something.
Yeah no 375ft lbs is not real. 300-310 fine on stock turbo. That was absolutely not an accurate reading on that third year. Also e30 is mixed with 87 when you buy e30 at the pump. Ya dont want that.
And for some reason strat tuned cars arent so quick im cobb ots stage 2 and i walked a fbo e30 strat tuned fiesta and a e30 tuned focus and they are good drivers
Nice. I just picked up a brand new 2018 and it’s an absolute blast to drive. I wanna do the Cobb stage 1 (accessport, rmm, and filter) then a Depo Intercooler. Are you using the stock intercoooler pipes? I want just a little more power as it’s my daily.
I'd skip the filter (unless you want more induction sounds) and put that cash into a tune. Cobb OTS stage 1 and 2 are decent at best. Stratified and Dizzy both do awesome OTS tunes and are fairly inexpensive. Light years better then the COBB tunes.
I have a 2017 and COBB S1 really wakes the car up. However, the real gains come when you do the intercooler + piping. I'm about to get one and flash to Stage 2.
Collin Quinn i know this comment is old but you don’t need the piping until you got hybrid or B/T, the only thing piping gains realistically on stock is the sound baffle delete
I have a fbo e30 2015 fiesta st, I love it!!!

I'm running SCT X4 tuned up for the corn in my '18. Whoosh V1 and a AWR RMM, that's it. Transformed the whole car!
Thats great who are the big SCT tuners or are you tuning it yourself?

Great information here. Thanks.
How hard is it to mix gasses to make E30? Could you make a video on this?
I put 3 gallons of e85 and top it off with 93.

why not a stage 3 tune with e30?

CORN JUICEEEEEE!!!!!
Fair warning too. Strat has the most popped engines soooooo😖
Would you say that its because they tuned a lot more cars?

@@Altonivel93 there are a lot of factors on play regarding that claim. One of them is proven that a downpipe on a stock turbo LOSES power on these
